UFOs, synchronicities and Aliens in the Backyard

Trish and Rob are a married couple who are both professional writers who have had long careers starting as newspaper reporters. They have published (together and separately) a long list of fiction and non-fiction books.

I interviewed them last year about their book The Seven Secrets of Synchronicity, posted HERE.

the interview with Trish and Rob begins at the 39:25 time count

I just listened to an excellent interview with Trish and Rob (linked above). They were on Coast to Coast earlier this week promoting a book they wrote together titled Aliens in the Backyard (also available on Kindle).

During the interview the detail a very unsettling UFO encounter involving a man from Quebec named Charles. This story was posted in several parts on their blog Synchro Secrets. I later posted their multi-part report as one essay in a PDF form. This is one of four extremely strange cases they explore in depth in the book.

Here is another odd event in this strange case linked HERE, Charles was confronted by someone who looked suspiciously like Mac Tonnies. More HERE.

(a personal anecdote)

Here is a funny synchronicity involving this book. Trish and Rob sent me a PDF file of the book for me to review. When I opened the file I do what I do with any book when I first look at it, I open it at random and see what I find. I did this with the digital document, I just scrolled down randomly. My eye was drawn to some italic text on the page that read Into the Fringe. I thought to myself, I read that book. It has that weird part about her son seeing a satellite dish in the yard, but he knew it wasn't what it appeared to be.

I read the next sentence and it says:
“There was a creepy scene in that book where a witness describes seeing a ‘satellite dish’ in his yard, but he knows it’s not a satellite dish.”
Exactly the scene I just remembered.

Then I look at the rest of the page and it is a retelling of one of my own experiences! They used one of my blog posts as part of their chapter on dreams. It took me a few seconds to remember that a few months earlier Rob and I emailed each other about his book project. I sent him a few links to my blog with personal stories that I thought might fit into the book. I gave him and Trish permission to use whatever they wanted.

I open the book at random and I immediately zeroed in on my own story, just a few sentences long.

The Stranger Within

Barbara Eden has an unusual pregnancy

Foreshadowing, unexplainable pregnancies,
hybrid children and the creative process

In an easily down-loadable PDF (linked below), you'll find an essay that explores a haunting movie from my childhood. This was bottomless pit of synchro-weirdness and the whole thing leave me absolutely mystified. Thing were getting to the point where I needed to create a hand-lettered TIMELINE just to keep my fragile mind screwed on a little tighter.

Click on the button on the far right to view in FULL-SCREEN mode.
_________________________________________________________

There was a made-for-TV movies from 1974 titled The Stranger Within. It stars Barbara Eden (form I Dream Of Jeanne) in a dramatic role. She plays a suburban housewife who is mysteriously pregnant with an alien hybrid. The movie was based on a 1953 short story by Richard Matheson titled Mother by Protest. Matheson himself adapted it for the small screen. The short story is essentially the same as the movie, including some word-for-word dialog.

What is positively bizarre is that a story from 1953 could so accurately predict a long list of details that have only recently emerged in the UFO abduction meme. There are presently books filled with accounts of mysteriously pregnant woman and alien hybrid babies, but how did these ideas manifest themselves almost 60 yeas ago?

Part's of this long-winded essay were recently featured on Robbie Graham's Silver Screen Saucers site. What is linked above is longer and more exhaustive in it's attempt to unravel some elusive mysteries.

Here's a brief excerpt:
There is a central phenomenon and then there is an outlying phenomena. It seems that Budd Hopkins was trying to document and educate on the core mystery within his research, something he did beautifully. I guess I've been trying to make sense of the mess that splatters off from that core. This essay is an example, there are threads that seemingly go everywhere. I am not trying to contain any of this into something manageable like my intellect tells me to do. I am ignoring that side of my brain, and wallowing in the messiness of my intuition.
The problem is that you, the reader, might feel lost in a maze of chaos. If so, you and I share the same response.

For me, this essay was a compulsive piece of work. I really mean that, I got swallowed up in the process of digging and writing. For reasons I don't understand, I pay attention when I'm confronted with that kind of overwhelming fixation on one project.

a competent telling of contact experiences

Chris Augustin presents at a UFO conference

This one hour video is a static camera pointing at a guy at a podium, but I found it really engrossing. This is a good presentation. A lot of things on the reoccurring checklist get checked off, and lots more. Chris Augustin has a really pragmatic and centered presence, and sometimes that feels rare within this phenomenon.

I found Chris on facebook as i was looking at some photos from a recent UFO conference in Maine. I saw his face on a few photos, and I read a few complimentary comments about his approach to the subject. So, I searched out his site, and found a link to this video (posted above).

This all happened last night, and as I was watching the video I thought to myself, I need to friend this guy on facebook. Within minutes I checked my email to see that I had received a friend request from Chris himself! I feel like I can take synchronicities in stride, but this one was pretty cool.

Please know, I will be bugging him to do an audio interview.

Veils Afire, a series created by contactees

the inaugural episode of the Veils Afire audio podcast

I've just found a series of on-line sites that are run by abductees where they openly explore the mysteries related to the UFO phenomenon.

Montalk is a beautifully designed site with a lot of information, from aliens to gnosis. This site is run by a fellow named Tom. The author has logged a long list of extremely tidy essays and reports exploring fringe topics. This site should be a clarion call to folks who want an on-line presence with their info. I am an art-director at heart, and I really respect the folks who do a nice job in their presentation.

Montalk has a youtube page linked HERE.

There is a free book download titled FRINGE KNOWLEDGE from Montalk.

This is a lucid primer on metaphysics, cosmology, human origins, alien agendas, the matrix control system, and how to spiritually empower ourselves. This book is filled with practical insights to assist budding truth-seekers on their path of awakening.

The content is available in a series of formats, including a free PDF, a word doc, a $2.99 kindle version and a bound paperback edition.

Another on-line resourse comes from a woman named Kerrie Reynalds. She ran a series of blogtalk podcasts called The Alien Agenda. Kerrie is also a self proclaimed lifelong abductee.

unknown light in the evening sky

Above is a screen grab from a video sky shot by Kerrie (linked HERE). of a curious light in the evening sky. This 3:45 long video was shot in the Southern horizon of Youngstown, Ohio in November of 2010. The video has a series of tidy text boxes that point out details that one would miss with just a cursory viewing. Once again, I need to praise the presentation of this information.

VEILS AFIRE audio lined HERE on this page
(scroll down, it's there)

Both Tom and Kerrie have joined forces to create the podcast series, Veils Afire. I have yet to dig deeply into the content of this series, but (again) I am very impressed with the quality of their presentation. They both sound clear and their levels are balanced. (Kerry Cassidy, please take notice!)

Tom says something during the initial Veils Afire show (linked above in a youtube format) that got my attention:
Another thing that aliens engage in is the grooming of human mouthpieces for their agenda. And here I'm talking about certain abductees, certain contactees and even certain people who don't even know that they are abductees or contactees, but who have simply had their beliefs and their perceptions manipulated, massaged, since they were very young to turn them into pro-alien agenda vectors of this information.

From my perspective, this is a very real phenomenon. Is he insinuating that he's been unknowingly manipulated and he's vectoring this agenda by creating a web-site and podcast series? I ask that because I spend a lot of my waking hours wondering the same thing about myself.

I've added these sites to an ever growing list of first-person bloggers and podcasters who are sharing their abduction experiences on-line (linked HERE).

something up there responds

my backyard

Just a few nights ago I was camping in the Tetons with my girlfriend Erika. It was a beautiful clear night and we simply slept out under the stars. We were at about 9,500 feet above sea level and it made for some amazing sky watching.

We were in our sleeping bags looking up into the sky, we saw a handful of satellites cruising along at a steady speed across the sky. We got to see a few impressively bright shooting stars too. As I was close to drifting off, we saw one little dot in the sky, it seemed like nothing more than the satellites we'd been watching.

As a sort of joke (with a new-age schmaltzy tone) I spoke to the little dot in the sky: "I love you!"

At that point, it sort of pulsed a little bit brighter.

Erika and I both saw it, and I did it again, this time with an even more cloying voice: "I love you my little UFO!" ( * )

It happened again, just like before, there was an instantaneous response.

It happened about six time total. One of the glowing responses was impressively bright. I asked Erika about it the next day, sort of like, "Did that really happen?"

She confirmed, that yes indeed it happened. She said that one bright pulse was really weird, she had never seen anything like that in her life. I agreed.

Before posting this I called Kim Carlsberg, who runs a curious skywatching service called Sedona UFO Sky Tours. She takes clients out skywatching with military grade night-vision goggles. I explained about what had happened in the sky while camping, and she replied, "This happens ALL THE TIME. We se these lights pulse in response to lasers and when we ask them to, we are communicating.'

I said, "Wait, what do you mean communicating?"

She said, "They'll respond directly to our requests, we'll ask them to light up, and they do. We are communicating."

And that was pretty much what happened with me and Erika under the stars just a few days ago.
_____________________________________________

( * ) Yes, I really said, "I love you my little UFO." I said it in a childish sing-song voice, just like the My Little Pony commercials that I worked on back in my days in advertising. (example HERE)

I had seen this video (above) some months ago, and when I said "I love you" I was mimicking the people you hear in the audio. I am quick to poke fun at the new-age crowd, but this time the joke was on me. This is very accurate to what Erika and I experienced the other night!

Thank you Marilyn Brannon for sending me this video!

a voice shaking with emotional intensity

Recommended audio interview from November 2011. Radio host Rene Barnett talks abduction researcher Yvonne Smith and an abductee named John who shares some of his experiences. I was particularly impressed with John's emotional intensity as he spoke about some of the events in his life.

He cautiously described a frightening missing-time event in eastern Idaho, and from some of the details, I have to assume it was very near my home.

audio conversation with Robert Stanley

 Robert Stanley

I feel crummy admitting this, but haven’t read either of Robert’s books. That said, I have listened to a lot of his audio interviews. I feel like I had a pretty good insight into key episodes of his life, and I really wanted to hear more because I thought he had a lot to offer. Our conversation strays well beyond the boundaries of just UFOs in the skies and alien entities in our lives. There is something far more complex going on; there is an overall richness to this phenomenon that gives me hope.

two hours / 31 minutes

Near the end we both reflect on the intensity and the deeper meanings hidden within these experiences. You start out talking about UFOs and you end up wresting with the meaning of existence. Here is an tiny excerpt of what we said.
Mike: I feel like I can’t fully live to match my identity.
Robert: That’s a sin Mike. In my opinion, that really is a sin.
That little back-and-forth might seem hasrsh, but it was no such thing, it was profoundly hopeful. I repeatedly say that these audio interviews are selfish, they are therapy, and this conversation culminates with Robert playing the role of therapist.

Formerly a corporate journalist, Robert is currently the editor of UNICUS magazine.

He is the author of two books on the UFO phenomenon; CLOSE ENCOUNTERS ON CAPITOL HILL (2006) and COVERT ENCOUNTERS IN WASHINGTON, D.C. (2011).

Together these two book total up to over 800 pages and they paint a very clear picture that Washington, D.C. is an unrivaled UFO hot-spot. Robert’s tireless investigation led him to dig deep and uncover the amazing covert history of UFOs and ETs in Washington, D.C. The research shows an unprecedented increase UFO activity from the years 2000 to 2010.

Robert is also the host of a weekly audio interview series, The UNICUS Radio Hour. (More audio HERE).

There are two audio interviews I need to recommend. The first is a conversation between Robert and his friend Jerry Wills. I reference both this interview and Jerry during the podcast (linked HERE).

The other recommended interview is with James Horak and it is part of Robert’s UNICUS Radio Hour (linked HERE).

The UNICUS site has a rich collection of UFO photographs, and some are extremely compelling (linked HERE and HERE)

audio conversation with Preston Dennett

Author and researcher

I’ve always been intrigued by Preston Dennet. My only real exposure to him was from a few radio programs. My impression was that there was more going on than I was hearing in these short interviews. I mean, the guy has been researching UFOs for over a quarter of a century, he must have some ideas about what’s going on. That said, I feel like we both dug deep in this long conversation.

two hours and 30 minutes long

Preston Dennett began investigating UFOs and the paranormal in 1986 when he discovered that his family, friends and co-workers were having dramatic unexplained encounters. In the last 25 years he has interviewed hundreds of witnesses and investigated a wide variety of paranormal phenomena. He is a field investigator for MUFON, a ghost hunter, a paranormal researcher, and the author of fifteen books and more than 100 articles on UFOs and the paranormal. His website lined HERE.

Please note, if Preston, Leo Sprinkle and myself were all in the same room together it might be difficult to tell us apart.

Audio conversation with Barbara Lamb

There is a very curious pattern within the UFO abduction research community, more than a few of these dedicated researchers are also UFO abductees themselves. Barbara Lamb is both, she has had her own contact experiences as well as over 20 years of active research as a therapist.

I attempted a hypnosis session with Barbara in 2009. Alas, nothing happened, i was simply too freaked-out to relax in any meaningful way. But, I did have the chance to sit with her and see her in the role of therapist. There is something gentle and calming about her, and I find that so important. I sought her out for for help with my own challenging experiences, and she is very sensitive and giving.

two hours and 10 minutes

Barbara is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, certified Hypnotherapist and Regression Therapist. She maintains a psychotherapy practice in Claremont, California.

Barbara has also written two books. One is on the mysteries of the abduction lore; ALIEN EXPERIENCES with co-author Nadine Lalich. The other is CROP CIRCLES REVEALED with co-author Judith Moore.

She has two websites, one for her therapist work, and the other for her on-going abduction research.

Kerry Cassidy did an audio interview with Barbara that I can recommend. She shares a series of extremely intense experiences HERE.

did Mac Tonnies visit a UFO contactee?

In answer to the headline, I don't think so. But...

I am posting a forwarded email from Rob MacGregor (of Synchro-Secrets). This is correspondence he received from Charles, the French Canadian who shared the extremely disturbing events surrounding his UFO sighting and follow-up experiences. This was posted as a detailed first-person report (linked HERE).

Charles from Quebec wrote:
Rob - l want to tell you something strange that happened to me this past Thursday evenings around 21:15.
This guy's photo is in the Hidden Experience blog... and I saw someone looking exactly like him acting very strange walking towards my car with sunglasses at night with very white skin... he or she did not walk like a human or somehow he or she was handicapped... he or she came over my windshield and stared at me while making strange noises like screaming... ever since then, I am scared of seeing him again...

Image included in the email from Charles.

More was posted on the Synchro-Secrets site, linked HERE.

The photo in question was of Mac Tonnies, it's seen in the left side-bar. This was an image that (I think) he took himself. This photo makes him seem a little more dramatic than he actually was. He was, well, cuter than that.

Mac had a wonderfully charismatic demeanor, so I don't think he would materialize as any kind of frightening ghost. If it was a ghost of Mac, I am quite certain it would be a very nice ghost.

All that said, a tall pale bald man with chiseled cheek bones is certainly a striking image, and not uncommon in these kinds of paranormal reports.

I'll also add that in this photo, the shadow from Mac's glasses creates an eerie mothman or Phoenix form. This was noted in a previous post (linked HERE).

podcast host sees a UFO while interviewing Anya Briggs

I've linked a two part interview with Anya Briggs where she talks about her (very strange) experiences. The show is The Art of Dreaming hosted by Michael Hemmingson. It was recorded April 25, 2012. During the two-hour show Anya shares some of profoundly bizarre life experiences.

Direct link to
Part 1
and Part 2

In Part 1 Anya at the 22:00 time count describes seeing a weird metal ball. Then, later in the show during Part 2 at the 28:50 time count the host sort awkwardly states that he just saw a weird metal ball fly by out his window. So, it seems we a have a case of a podcast hosts seeing a UFOs during a show about UFOs. Whatever that might imply.

Anya wrote on her blog: "I sensed it was observing and reporting/recording data from him [the host] and that it was benevolent and coming from the same people who visited me in 2008 in front of my home. Could be Plejaran/Pleadian."

I asked Anya if I could blog about it on my site, she replied: "Yeah, sure! Go for it! But admittedly, it WAS in Sedona. That's kind of par for the course in those parts, ha ha."

Quebec UFO encounter

Photo/illustration copyright by Jean Lavergne

There is an extremely compelling UFO experience unfolding near Quebec. The story involves a sighting in the yard of a rural couple. The treads of this encounter are all intertwined with synchronicities, multiple witnesses, odd health issues, psychics, premonitions and deeply felt emotions.

This story unfolds with elements that go way beyond merely seeing odd lights in the nighttime sky. We are confronted with details and emotions that tell of something much stranger and more challenging than we dare believe.

I found this story on Synchrosecrets, a site hosted by the husband and wife couple, Trish and Rob MacGregor. This unsettling set of events was shared in a series of nine essays each posted separately in the spring of 2012.

Linked below is a 29 page report about this unsettling encounter.

audio conversation with Rosemary Ellen Guiley

Rosemary Ellen Guiley

Rosemary is one of the rare experts on wide range of paranormal phenomena. She's authored more than 50 books on wide range of occult, spiritual, and mystical topics. She has been a full-time researcher since 1983, and her present focus has been inter-dimensional entity contact experiences (including UFO abduction accounts), problem hauntings, Shadow People, the Djinn and portals or geographic areas of intense paranormal activity.

one-click download HERE
one-hour / 21 minutes long

During our conversation we attempt to avoid the tiny boxes that confine too much of the research, instead we speculate about the meta-phenomena that could be at the core of the many divergent experiences. We jump from the Djinn to UFO abduction to owls and faeries.

As I stepped into this interview I knew very little about Rosemary, and I ended up deeply impressed with her open mind and wide-ranging research.

a big MP3 player!

a cuter MP3 player!

You can find out more at her two web-sites: Djinn Universe and Visionary Living.

Please NOTE:
I did a follow-up post (linked below) with extra insights and visuals that cover some of the details from this interview. Shadow people, synchronicities and Faeries.

Also:
Rosemary worked on a book with Phil Imbrogno titled THE VENGEFUL DJINN. Phil has since left the research field after some of his academic credentials came into question. I spoke with Rosemary about this in person and she was quite candid with me about her feelings. I chose not to ask about this during the interview because I found her own research much more interesting than talking about personalities.
______________________________________________________

Postscript:
At the very end I chime in and talk a little bit about my memories of Budd Hopkins. He is often accused of avoiding out-lying data that doesn't fit his conclusions. While there may be some truth to that, my personal interactions were with someone who was remarkably open-minded and aware of the conflicting reports within the abduction phenomena.

The short time spent with him left me deeply impressed at the thoughtful way he would share his insights. I am honored to have known him, and to call him a friend.

researchers who claim the direct contact experience

Dr. Leo Sprinkle

I've started a list of UFO abduction researchers who also claim life events that can be called contact experiences. Not just seeing a funny light in the sky, I'm talkin' alien abduction! These are sorted in no particular order and suspect there are many more beyond the 18 listed below. Some of these folks are controversial and I’m not trying to support the veracity of their claims. I am just trying to look at the overall pattern.
~ Dr. Leo Sprinkle - Pioneering UFO researcher, psychologist and author of Soul Samples. He also claims to channel.
~ Raymond Fowler - Author of the Andreasson series, the Allagash Abductions and a book on synchronicity.
~ Barbara Lamb - Family therapist, licensed hypnotherapist, abduction researcher and author of Alien Experiences.
~ Dr. Karla Turner - Author of a series of books including Taken and Into the Fringe. Died in 1996 at 48 years old.
Joe Montaldo - Researcher and director of ICAR, a group focused on the UFO abduction phenomenon.
Melinda Leslie - Researcher with a focus on the Military Abduction reports (MIL-ABS).
~ Suzanne Hansen - Resident of New Zealand, therapist and grief counsellor. Created the group UFOCUS NZ in 2000.
~ Darryl Simms - Author and abduction researcher.
~ Collin Andrews - Crop circle researcher and author.
~ Lynne Kitei, M.D. - Author, documentary film-maker and witness to the Phoenix Lights event in 1997. She also tells of channeling.
~ Dr. Steven Greer - Outspoken author and wanna-be cult leader.
~ David Sereda - Author, documentary film maker and researcher.
~ Jordan Maxwell - Author and researcher.
~ Bill Ryan and Kerry Cassidy - This is the team behind Project Camelot. Both claim contact experiences.
~ Sesh Heri - Author and researcher. Author of The Handprint of Atlas. He writes about an event in his youth that involves meeting a small being in his yard.
~ Michelle LaVinge Wedel - Author and channeler. She (and her husband Paul) wrote a series of books including The Alien Abduction Reference Guide.
~ Geroge Filer - UFO researcher.
~ Carl Munck is a researcher of ancient pyramids. He tells a story of being shocked by a story told to him by his daughter. She tells of waking up late at night and seeing a bright light outside. She walked out of her room and found her father in conversation with a set of aliens. She told him this recently, and he was shocked to hear her claims. He has no memory at all of this meeting.
Cherry Hinkle - UFO researcher. Interview with Cherry HERE.
~ Robert Stanley - UFO researcher. Author of UFOs Over the Capital
~ Eve Lorgan - Author of Alien Love Bites and The Dark Side of Cupid.
______________________________________________

I am absolutely positive that this list is a LOT longer than what's noted.

Entering these waters is loaded with challenges. The vocabulary alone is problematic. Alien abductee, experiencer and contactee are loaded terms. These words might seem interchangeable, but in the end it's an inadequate attempt to define something elusive.

There are a few more authors and researchers that I know of (or suspect strongly) that have their own first hand experiences, but are understandably not sharing their experiences publicly. There a lot of researchers who will tell of experiences that make my ears perk up. For instance, Brad Steiger has had a Near Death Experience (and so has his wife Sherry) and that has it's own iniatory power.

The number of authors who tell their first-person abduction experiences is too long to even attempt to list here. The bookshelves sag under the weight of these autobiographies focused on alien contact. Many of these people have played the role of researcher as part of their story, and some are quite dedicated to the advancement of these elusive reports. The list includes: Whitley Strieber, Katrina Wilson, Leah Hailey, Kim Carlsberg, Lisette Larkins and Ida Kannenburg.

If anyone can add to this list, I would appreciate it greatly.
Please lemme know.

Also: I've linked the interviews I've done with the folks on this list.

And, I wanted to add Adam Gorightly, even though he says "probably not," he's had enought weirdness to make me wonder.

Not quite in the same pool as the researchers above, but...

Lyn Buchanan, the remote viewer who was portrayed by George Clooney (in that Goat movie), has recently come forward and shared his Alien Abduction experiences.

a few different first person blogs, all with the same theme

I just found another on-line blog with first person stories and experiences about potential UFO contact. The author is is a woman named Eva, and the title of the blog is SEARCHING FOR TRUTH.

The postings include: UFO sightings, strange marks on her body, aliens and ghosts. There is even a post about OWLS! She shared a post where she answers a questionnaire directed at people who have questions about the UFO abduction phenomenon (linked HERE). I thought this was particularly interesting, and I resonated strongly with her answers.

I have been fascinated by these first-person blogs, and I have made an effort to share them when I find them. Right now, I'm digging thru her material and it all seems quite familiar.

____________________

Here's another site with a set of first person narratives about the UFO contact phenomenon. The author is a woman named Suzanne, and she has more than a little bit in common with me and my experiences. Her stories are shared at a blog titled RANDOM ALIEN BRAIN DROPPINGS.

Suzanne and I have spoken on the phone a few times, and I trust her stories. In her blog she talks about memories from childhood, psychic experiences and UFO sightings.

Over the years, I've been amazed at these on-line blogs, and I've tried to document them. If anyone out there can direct me to more of them, please let me know! They are all listed with the label fellow bloggers.

Here's another one from a Canadian man named Todd. There is a lot of information crammed into this site, titled TAKEN BY THE GRAYS.

I just found this site, titled ABDUCTIONS IN LOS ANGELES. The information in this blog is extremely thourough, with personal experiences catagorized in a formal way. The author also includes a sort of check-list with each experience noted. This list includes: State of Mind Before, State of Mind After, Odd occurrences Before,  Odd occurrences After and Possible Influential Factors. I feel these are extremely important (and overlooked) factors.

audio conversation with Whitley Strieber

Yes, him!

If anyone has made it to this site, there shouldn’t be any need to introduce Whitley Strieber.

Whitley said this when attempting to define the overall phenomenon: This might be what the force of evolution looks like when it is applied to a conscious mind. This quote might seem like a clever mind-puzzle, but it forms the foundation of his recent book, and this interview.

one-click audio download HERE
57 minutes long

His most recent book is titled SOLVING THE COMMUNION ENIGMA. During our conversation we attempt to articulate what it might mean to SOLVE this elusive enigma. In this book, and in the original COMMUNION from 25 years ago, there is a relentless kind of thoughtful questioning. It is both wide-ranging and deeply personal.

At the end of this podcast, I’ve included a short clip from an audio interview from 1987. Whitley was on a radio show with host Don Swaim talking about his new book at the time, COMMUNION. It’s been 25 years since that book exploded into the popular conciousness, and you can still hear that same thoughtful and questioning voice.

And sadly, one thing that we didn’t cover was his book THE KEY, perhaps the most important book of my life.

Here’s a link to his web-site, UNKNOWN COUNTRY.

NOTE:
This was originally posted on Jan. 20th, but I moved it back up to the top of the list. This was a good interview, and I feel it should be appreciated.

audio conversation with Darryl Anka

Darryl Anka, the voice of Bashar

Darryl Anka claims to have direct contact with a higher dimensional being who goes by the name of Bashar. This ability was set into motion by two close UFO sightings in 1973.

one hour / 25 minutes long

This stuff is easy to parody, but I take it seriously. It seems like I'm one of the few individuals that will acknowledge that channeled information is interwoven into the overall UFO phenomenon. There is an unmistakable pattern of people who claim the direct contact experience who will also say that they channel. I realize that I'll probably get some grief from this interview, but this stuff is part of the overall phenomenon, and I simply can't ignore that fact.

I have been researching a series of channelers, and I find that Bashar imparts some really fascinating material. I encourage you to ignore the funny voice, and listen to the content. Nobody can cringe more than me when I hear terms like vibrations and fifth density; that said, I think the core of what he says is really fascinating.

Here's a really good audio introduction to Bashar.

For more information, here is Darryl's website.

Below is a screen grab from the same video that is embedded above. When I was prepping for the interview I searched through a lot of youtube videos. This one had a real pull for me making it the obvious choice. It was after choosing it that I noticed the 1203 view count (that's an almost 123). I felt a need to dismiss this as any kind of synchronicity because the number wasn't perfect. Then I noticed the date, August 22nd 2011, my 49th birthday.

an "almost" 123 and my birthday

Max Ernst, ritual magic and UFOs

Overt UFO image from Max Ernst in 1929

The artist Max Ernst (1891-1976), was a prolific German Dadaist-Surrealist. And he seems to be much more. The image (above) is from a collage-based graphic novel titled The Hundred Headless Woman. It has two disc shaped UFOs, a nearly naked woman being abducted and an apocalyptic scene of destruction; all reoccurring themes in the modern abduction lore. This was 18 years before Kenneth Arnold saw his [first] set of UFOs.

Christopher Knowles has posted a genuinely ground breaking post about Max Ernst (linked HERE). I found it this morning in The Secret Sun. Knowles writes:

...every time I look at UFO photos and read about recent sightings or abductions I get trapped in the letters and the pixels like I'm encased in amber. When I start to look at UFOs through the prism of Synchronicity, Symbol and Strangeness, it all opens like a flower and thousands of puzzle pieces start falling into place like a Tetris game played by an invisible hand.

And then things start to happen. In this consensus space-time. Lots of things. Lots of really strange, sometimes impossible things.
