suggested books

This is a short list of books that I strongly recommend. I tried to keep the focus on the abduction lore, but there are few outlying subjects too. There're a lots more out there that should probably get added, and I suspect I'll continue to add to this list. I have read all these books and they are listed in no particular order.

Jacques Vallee

CONFRONTATIONS: A Scientist's Search for Alien Contact

DIMENSIONS: A Casebook of Alien Contact

REVELATIONS: Alien Contact and Human Deception

These three books make up a trilogy that totally blew my mind when I read them back to back to back in the early 90's. Each are amazing, and collectively they changed the way I view the overall phenomenon.

Whitley Strieber

    The Key: A True Encounter

    Communion: A True Story

Solving the Communion Enigma: What Is To Come

    The Communion Letters

Whitley gets a lot of grief within this insulated little "community" of UFO weirdos. Say what you will, but this guy works hard to keep the discussion at a very high level.

Budd Hopkins

Sight Unseen: Science, UFO Invisibility and Transgenic Beings

Intruders: The Incredible Visitations at Copley Woods

Debbie Jordan and Kathy Mitchell

Abducted!: The Story of the Intruders Continues

This is a follow up to Budd Hopkins' book INTRUDERS, written by the women who experienced the direct events covered in that book. A fascinating companion.

Marc Davenport

Visitors From Time: The Secret of the UFOs

Michelle LaVigne-Wedel and Paul Wedel

The Alien Abduction Survival Guide: How to Cope with Your ET Experience

The Alien Abduction Reference Guide: 100 Alien Encounters Explored

These are probably favorite two books in this list. They are simple and straightforward. They come from a heart felt place, and they haven't been picked thru by any editor. Fascinating stuff.

Mike, have you read Passport to Magonia by Jacques Vallee? It's a hard book to find for less than $40, but must be a good read. Graham Hancock expanded on the ideas there in his book Supernatural, which I recommend. The convergence of shamanic journeys, psychedelic trips, UFOs, elves and fairies of folklore is a compelling argument for a broader view of these phenomena.

Oh my! It seems you've forgotten one of the best books on the subject. (The best I've read...and I have read a lot.) Take note, ye curious folk! It takes a perspective similar to Jacques Vallee's, a thesis that is non-extraterrestrial, and is especially amazing because the writer (already mentioned in the above list) was no "armchair researcher." Many anecdotes he shares involve him directly or were told to him directly by those who experienced it.

The book: OPERATION TROJAN HORSE by JOHN A. KEEL

I also recommend (as a sequel) THE EIGHTH TOWER by JAK
