audio conversation with Trish and Rob MacGregor - The Synchronicity Highway

authors Trish and Rob

Synchronicity (or meaningful coincidence) has been at the forefront of both Trish and Rob's journalistic output for the last bunch of years. The cover the topic well, with a focus on the stories as well as the speculation of what it might mean. Their latest book, a follow up to Aliens in the Backyard, is The Synchronicity Highway, with the sub-title, Exploring Coincidence, the Paranormal and Alien Contact.

During our talk, we discuss the odd events surrounding Katy Walker and how she accidentally videotaped a UFO while filming owl murals in San Francisco. There is a clip (blow) that shows the footage. A weird overlapping of owls, UFOs and synchronicity.

This is a great interview! I enjoyed all the stories of synchronicities, although some were sad. I do wish I could see owls and UFOs. Frankly, I am a bit envious of people who do--although I could do without the more scary encounters that some have had.

They need to read up on psychotropic plants and mushrooms, particularly ayahuasca, which has been used by shamans for thousands of years to contact beings from the spiritual reality. These are not intended merely as "drugs," but as healing medicines and for spiritual enlightenment. Some people have reported seeing alien-like entities in their visions.

Oh, and by the way, have you read Douglas Adams' "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"? The character, Ford Prefect, informs Arthur Dent that some aliens actually are rich, bored teenagers having fun. They land their spaceship in some rural area, in front of people whom nobody will ever believe, and walk back and forth while making "beep beep" noises to scare the humans.

silverbuttons - I think it was Graham Hancock, when he used ayahuasca, saw not only little elf-like 'aliens' but also a classic looking UFO.

Do some hallucinogens facilitate the ability for people to see a reality that we usually would not see?

Nice interview. Trish & Rob always provide excellent input.

Yeah, I too like the idea of some aliens messing with us just for kicks. I touched upon those ideas with a bit of a tongue-in-cheek perspective in a recent essay I posted, titled Astronauts, Conquistadors & Spring-breakers ;)

You see, the folly of all the 'serious' search for Extraterrestrial intelligences, is in assuming they would *always* act intelligently :P

PS: I'm not sure I'd say Mac Tonnies was 'the sweetest guy', Mike. I remember this Radio Misterioso interview with Paul Kimball, who did get a chance to meet Mac in person & hang around with him in his home town of Kansas city, and how shocked he was when Mac would spit on cars parked by the street because they belonged to 'people he didn't like.' Mac was a brilliant young fellow, but also a complex individual full of lights & shadows like the rest of us.

Yes, I guess I was basing my memories of Mac on my own interactions. And he was always wonderfully sweet and supportive to me. This was during a time when I was REALLY having a hard time with my memories.

Hi, I loved this interview. Thanks. Not sure if I am not looking in the right place, but I thought you mentioned that you were going to put an excerpt from the audio book, The Synchronicity Highway, on the show notes.

Was thinking of purchasing the audio book but would love to hear a sample first.

Sorry if I just can't see the link.
