Owls, driveways and laundry

A string of owl sychronicities emerged last week, and I’m trying to make sense of the overlapping weirdness. Like any synch, these things get so intertwined and personal that it ends up being almost impossible to convey their power, let alone their meaning. I’ve gotten to the point where I trust that the more entangled this stuff gets, the more I trust it. That said, I trust this flurry of synchro-weirdness.

What follows is my (excessively hyper-linked) attempt to unravel this knotted cluster of owl stuff.

I'm visual, so charts help me focus
On Monday (Sept. 30th) I had a Reiki session with a woman I know here in my little town. You can read a long post about what happened HERE. At the end of our meeting I asked if she had ever had any odd owl experiences.

I asked her: “Have you seen any owls recently?”

She said, “Well, me and my boyfriend saw a great big owl last night, it was really incredible.”

She explained about seeing a great horned owl that flew along side her, from fence post to branch, as she walked along a path. It would swoop down low and then landed further down the path, staying ahead of them as they walked. It was huge and it would glide low and incredibly close to the ground as it stayed in front of her and her friend.

I calmly told her, “That was me. That owl was all about this, us here right now.”

She agreed.

That same night I got an email where she told me she had see another owl after our session. She wrote that is was a huge gray owl (I am assuming it was a great gray) in the same spot, and it “appeared” right in the moment when she thought to herself that she wanted to manifest an elephant.

I wanted to talk with her but didn’t call until the next day Tuesday (Oct. 1st), right before calling her I switched on the live broadcast of Micah Hanks’ The Grailien Report. The show was only on for a little bit, just enough for me to hear that Micah had two guests, Cam and Kyle from the Expanded Perspectives Podcast.

I turned off the audio, walked next door to do a load of laundry (I use my neighbors washing machine) and when I got back to the house I made the call to the Reiki therapist. I left a message on her machine and then switched the audio back on.

The first thing I heard was Micah’s voice excitedly declaring, “The gentleman you guys are talking about is… Mike Clelland of the Hidden Experience blog. So, someone needs to get him in the chatroom, we’re talkin’ about owls!”

I was sitting right at my desk, I clicked on skype, send a little note, “Micah - I JUST started listening - and guess what I heard…” Within seconds I was on the air with him and his guests.

You can hear the excitement in amazement in their voices as they reveled in the fact that I heard my name and got on the air so quickly. I felt a little bit like I’d hijacked the conversation for the remaining half hour of the show. One thing I talked about was a weird synchronicty surrounding a woman from Asheville North Carolina, right where Micah lives, and her mystical experiences with owls and a very strange UFO sighting.

Now, what I hadn’t heard was just how my name came up. This morning I listened to the archived edition of the show from that night, and a a highly charged number comes up.

There it is again, 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 !
At the 1:23:45 time count, Cam begins a very interesting owl story by saying, “Now a little stranger than that, here’s another story that my mother actually shared with me…” What follows is an extremely eerie sighting of a giant 4 and 1/2 foot tall owl seen in a driveway.

As the guy tells this story, he says he pressed his mother for details because there is a guy who has a blog where he talks about owls and UFO abduction. He was obviously talking about me, but I hadn’t hear this part live.

Fast forward to yesterday, Thursday (Oct. 10th). I was at my desk all day obsessively working on this owl book project. As it got to be evening I received an email from Alan Abbadessa-Green, he was replying to a note I had sent him on Monday (Oct. 7th) where I said, “Are you up for a call?”

I don’t know if I’ve ever just asked him to chat like this, but I really enjoy talking with him. So it was a little bit unusual that I would just ask to talk like this. He said lets talk and later that night he rang me up on skype.

He excitedly asked, “What did you think of that picture I sent you!”

I hadn’t received anything, and he resized he had tried to tag me on someone else's photo on facebook, so I never go it.

a small owl in Alan's driveway

He sent it as we talked. He explained that last week, on Wednesday (Oct. 2nd) he was coming home from doing the laundry, and as he was nearing his driveway he had a strong thought in his mind, “Mike Clelland - owls - owls owls - Mike Clelland.” When he pulled into his home, there on the driveway was a small little owl. He was with a friend and he took a picture of it. He said he was close enough that he could see it’s big eyes dilate from the flash.

Caption from the site:
Ran into this cute little guy on my walk to work.
He didn't move, just starred at me.
I even gave him a boop on the head.

Now that morning Thursday (Oct. 10th) the first email in my in-box was a link to this image. It was from someone who I didn’t know, but had heard me on Greg Bishop’s Radio Mysterioso. It was just a cute owl image found online, but it weirdly matched Alan’s experience. It was an owl in a driveway!

Alan and Micah both live in the same town, along with the woman who had the owl and UFO experience, that being Asheville North Carolina. Both Alan and Micah are podcasters, bloggers, authors and publish books. I've interviewed both Alan and Micah, in both of these there was huge focus on synchronicities.

Now, there is no better person on earth than Alan to try to unravel this kind of synchro-weirdness. The laundry connection seemed odd, and Alan pointed out that I had my own powerful laundry sync (linked HERE). But weirder to me was the striking similarity of the two owl in the driveway pictures.

We both tried to untangle this weird knot of owl stuff, but all we ended up doing was seeing more and more little threads that seemed to lead everywhere. No answers, just a recognition that this stuff really happens.

sychronicity and the UFO abductee

Posted below is a 17-page essay on how synchronicity seems to invade the lives of the UFO abductee. This is something that I've seen in my ongoing journey as I talk with people with direct contact experience.

This essay will soon be a chapter in The Sync Book: Volume 2. This will be published thru Sync Book Press and edited by Alan Abbadessa Greene.

Now, that said...

One of my very favorite interviews on this site was the one I did last year with Alan Abbadessa Greene  (linked HERE), our conversation this took took place right after the publication of The Sync Book. I gotta say, this is singularly the most optimistic and transcendent thing I've ever done on this site. It was a total joy, and I recommend it with a grand enthusiasm.

As a follow up to this, read the sister essay:
Owls and the UFO Abductee

These two essays essentially tell the same story. The owls are playing a very similar role to the synchronicity, at least in the way they have directly influenced me and my journey.

Alien-human hybridization was predicted by Hollywood

see the second post above!

I've contributed a rather long-winded essay to Robbie Graham's Silver Screen Saucers. the post has the screaming headline of GUEST BLOGGER EXCLUSIVE all capital letters, bold red type and it's italicized!

There was a made-for-TV movies from 1974 titled The Stranger Within. It stars Barbara Eden (form I Dream Of Jeanne) in a dramatic role. She plays a suburban housewife who is mysteriously pregnant with an alien hybrid.

The movie was based on a 1953 short story by Richard Matheson titled Mother by Protest (later re-published as Trespass). Matheson himself adapted it for the small screen. The short story is essentially the same as the movie, including some word-for-word dialog.

What is positively bizarre is that a story from 1953 could so accurately predict a long list of details that have only recently emerged in the UFO abduction meme. There are presently books filled with accounts of mysteriously pregnant woman and alien hybrid babies, but how did these ideas manifest themselves almost 60 yeas ago?

Here's a brief excerpt:
I dug into The Stranger Within for emotional and personal reasons, there was nothing at all logical in my investigation. Peering into this made-for-TV movie unleashed a flood of synchronistic weirdness. Something palpable emerged and parts of it are aligned with my direct experience. I started this exhaustive essay by saying “bits of that movie have been stuck in my head for the last 38 years.” I was describing a very real itch, and when I started scratching, something elusive showed itself.
Please note:
I now have an even longer version of this essay. It's offered as a down-loadable PDF below.

the death of Jessica Redfield

Jessica Redfield died in Aurora Colorado

Jessica Ghawi died in the early hours of Friday July 20th. She was one of the victims of the shooting at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado. She also went by the name Jessica Redfield (because of her RED hair) in her role as a young sports reporter in Denver. She was 24 years old.

Here is something very strange, Redfield was also present at the public shooting event in a mall in Toronto less than two months ago. On June 2, 2012, a mass shooting took place at a crowded food court at the Toronto Eaton Centre Mall. Five people were shot; and two people died.

She wrote about the expedience in her blog (excerpt below), and what she shares is chilling.

She had a blog with only two posts. One was about men and hockey. The other was was written two days after her experience in Toronto. Tragically, she died in a Colorado theater 48 days later.

Here is a (slightly edited) excerpt of her post.

Late Night Thoughts on the Eaton Center Shooting
by Jessica Redfield  June 5, 2012
I can’t get this odd feeling out of my chest. This empty, almost sickening feeling won’t go away. I noticed this feeling when I was in the Eaton Center in Toronto just seconds before someone opened fire in the food court. An odd feeling which led me to go outside and unknowingly out of harm‘s way. It’s hard for me to wrap my mind around how a weird feeling saved me from being in the middle of a deadly shooting.
What started off as a trip to the mall to get sushi and shop, ended up as a day that has forever changed my life. I was on a mission to eat sushi that day, and when I’m on a mission, nothing will deter me. When I arrived at the Eaton Center mall, I walked down to the food court and spotted a sushi restaurant. Instead of walking in, sitting down and enjoying sushi, I changed my mind, which is very unlike me, and decided that a greasy burger and poutine would do the trick. I rushed through my dinner. I found out [later] after seeing a map of the scene, that minutes later a man was standing in the same spot I just ate at and opened fire in the food court full of people. Had I had sushi, I would’ve been in the same place where one of the victims was found.
My receipt shows my purchase was made at 6:20 pm. After that purchase I said I felt funny. It wasn’t the kind of funny you feel after spending money you know you shouldn’t have spent. It was almost a panicky feeling that left my chest feeling like something was missing. A feeling that was overwhelming enough to lead me to head outside in the rain to get fresh air instead of continuing back into the food court to go shopping... The gunshots rung out at 6:23. Had I not gone outside, I would’ve been in the midst of gunfire.
...I wish I could shake this odd feeling from my chest. The feeling that’s reminding me how blessed I am. The same feeling that made me leave the Eaton Center. The feeling that may have potentially saved my life.

There are a lot of on-line essays that point to this disturbing blog post. Everyone is aware of the strange premonition and the dark synchronicity.

Meaning of the name Jessica: The original Hebrew name Yiskāh (יִסְכָּה), means foresight, or being able to see the potential in the future. The Hebrew root sakhah (ס.כ.ה) means to see, so the name Yiskah, with the added yod, implies foresight or clairvoyance.

I didn't really do all that much on-line searching, but there is something within Jessica's tragic story that resonates with the color red.

~ For her role as a sports reporter, she changed her name to Redfield. She did this because it was easier to pronounce than Ghawi. She chose the name Redfield because of her red hair.

~ In a video report, she was described as a firecracker (red) by her boss at FOX (also red) news station it Denver.

~ She is praise by her friends as having a HUGE HEART.

"...Help."

~ There is a twitter image of her RED sunburned back where she states: "So, uh, THIS happened. Help."

~ Her boyfriend is called Heart and Soul.

~ She is in creepy tomato battle in Denver. (see below)

There is something eerie about reading thru someones blog, twitter posts and looking at there on-line photographs after such a horrendous event. I am including a disturbing image of Jessica after an organized tomato fight in the Denver area (weirdly gruesome images linked HERE).

I would not have linked this disturbing image if it weren't for the time 3:33 PM time-count on her twitter post. 3:33 is a number repeatedly noted by UFO abductees. She also includes the name Jesus in her comment. Jessica is on the right.

Jessica's comment: Aftermath of the tomato fight. Sweet Jesus

3:33 PM - 7 Jul 12 via Twitter for iPhone

She commented again on that same photo: To those wishing there were there: tomatoes were rotten. I threw up multiple times. The smell was vile & damp; so was texture

Jessica's boyfriend was Jay Melhoff, an NHL hockey player who was in Toronto at the time of the shooting. He was number 23 (hello Robert Anton Wilson) while playing for the Danbury Wailers last season. He is hoping to play for the Denver Cutthroats (a fish noted for it's RED throat) . There was an article posted about Melhoff on the day of Jessica's death, it was titled: Meet Jay Melhoff: Heart and Soul Player.

The author of the article, Cheryl Bradley, wrote this: About the time I finished this feature on Jay Meloff on Thursday night and submitted it for posting, Jay's girlfriend, Jessica Ghawi, known to her friends across the sports world as Jessica Redfield, was [killed] in an Aurora, Colorado, theater.

Please note: This article was written BEFORE her death and posted on the very day of her death.

Jessica and her boyfriend Jay with a hockey rink in the background.

The only other post on her blog is from almost a year ago. It is titled: I Like My Hockey How I Like My MenI read (and re-read) this post, and she is blending two ideas, hockey and sex. I didn’t need to read between the lines to come to this conclusion, she states it clear enough.

She writes with mythic flourish in this excerpt:
I’m fairly new to this kind of dating. I’ve quickly realized there are so many men out there for me to choose from ... I’m having the time of my life going out there and getting to know all these different types of men ... I have found myself incredibly attracted to some and completely turned off by others ... Men are like the game of hockey to me, and NHL teams are easily compared to a collection of male archetypes that everyone can relate to.
The Unicorn: The Unicorn is the mythical embodiment of perfection. He’s the God that walks amongst mere mortals. He has it all. He is perfect in every way and right now he even has the girlfriend that everyone wishes they had their hands on. The Unicorn is always the Stanley Cup winner...
I get the sense that she was (and I mean this in the kindest possible way) a hockey groupie. Jessica was visiting her hockey-player boyfriend in Toronto when she was at the scene of the  Eaton Centre Mall shooting in June.

This is one of her final tweets (below), approximately two-hours before her death.

Hockey is very much on her mind in the final hours.

This is less about the hard facts, and more about connections.

Puck, Fox and RED hair

I am now referencing off of RED Pill Junkie’s perceptive post (linked HERE).

Hockey is played with a puck.

The character in Sheakspere’s Midsummer's Nights Dream is called Puck, but is also know as Robin Goodfellow. Robin is a RED bird. Robin Goddfellow is personified as Robin Hood in the British folklore. Robin Hood (and Puck on the stage) is dressed in GREEN. Disney’s animated ROBIN HOOD (1973) features a red FOX in the lead role. Jay Jay Melhoff's Wailer's uniform is GREEN (with a big green 23). Puck is often shown with pointy FOX like ears. The FOX is a trickster, and has RED hair. There is something called a FOX TRAX PUCK, it is a new video technology used in the TV coverage of Hockey, it allows the camera to enhance the puck on the ice. Jessica Redfield worked in the TV coverage of Hockey, specifically for FOX news in Colorado. Let's note that 'Colorad'o is one of the Spanish words for Red (Rojo).

Julie Kagawa is an American author, best known for writing the Iron Fey series consisting of four books. Iron is noted as Fe on the periodic table. One of the main characters is Puck, and he has vivid crimson hair.

Stanley Tucci played Puck in the movie A Midsummer Night's Dream (1999). He was born on November 11, 1960 in Peekskill, New York. Peekskill is in the heart of the Hudson River Valley, home to some of the most profound UFO sightings of the 20th century. Also, November 11th (11/11) is a palindrome, a noted time synchronicity and Veterans day. His birthday puts him close to a pattern of people who were born in 1962. Stanley Tucci’s agent in Hollywood was my roommate in the dorm as a freshman in NYU film school. There was a movie from 1990 called THE FRESHMAN where Matthew Broderick (born in 1962) plays a freshman  (in the dorm) at NYU film school. But I digress...

a summation
Please know I am not trying to read too much into this, but it does get strange and seductive.
I feel strongly that these highly profound events (like Aurora Colorado, 9-11 and Gabrielle Giffords) generate their own resonance. I don’t know if there is any kind of dark conspiracy at play. I feel there is something much more subtle happening, it feels as if mythic archetypes and memes are emerging and intertwined with these narratives. I feel that this is just the way the universe likes to organize itself.
