job interview at the CIA conducted by an alien

During the audio conversation with Elaine Douglass, we spoke at length about one very interesting case. It told the story of a young man going to the CIA for a job interview, he claims he was given a lie detector test by an alien. The article was initially published in two parts in Journal of Abduction Research (JAR) magazine, in 2007 and 2008. The PDF below has both parts combined for easy reading.

A lot of listeners were eager to read this two-part article, they said as much in the comments below the interview posting. This essay was also featured in a segment of Mysterious Universe around Halloween 2013.

You can find another (shorter) essay from Elaine HERE. This was posted in the MUFON Journal. She writes, after decades of investigation, is that perhaps as many as 50% of the people who see UFOs are also abductees. Highly recommended.

PLEASE NOTE: I used an optical text reading application to glean the text from the PDF file. That said, there are some pretty goofy errors in the document. I obviously didn't catch them all (I tried) so heads up that some sentences will play out as absurd.

This article was originally posted in two separate parts. It is now one article.

I am saddened to report that Elaine died. Here is a short remembrance is linked HERE. She left us on January 27th 2014 after a long battle with cancer.

the Oz factor

I've attached a short essay describing the unusual effects reported by close up UFO witnesses. There seems to be something directly influencing the consciousness of anyone in close proximity to a UFO.

An the eerie silence is consistently reported by close encounter experiencers, but what also gets described is a bizarre warping of reality, as if their consciousness was being altered or distorted.

The term Oz Factor was coined in 1983 by British UFO researcher Jenny Randles to describe this strange, but commonly reported, effect of the proximity to an unknown craft. This recommended essay is posted below in a one-click PDF reader.

owls and the UFO abductee

This 2013 essay was the foundation for the 2015 book

This is a long format essay where I attempt to unravel the the mystery of why so many UFO abductees report weird owl experiences. There are reoccurring accounts of screen memories throughout the literature, but this is something much more elusive. Much of this reporting comes from my own direct experience.

For reasons I don't understand, owls are somehow attracted to people who tell of direct contact with the UFO occupants.

I need to thank all the people who helped me with this report, your willingness to share has been a powerful gift to me. Thank you.

This essay makes a tidy companion to another essay titled:

These two essays essentially tell the same story. The owls are playing a very similar role to the synchronicity, at least in the way they have directly influenced me and my journey.

This essay will be a chapter in the upcoming collection title The Contact Book. edited and compiled by Frank Zero. Fellow contributors include: Brad Steiger, Christopher Knowles, Loren Coleman, Theresa Lee Clark and Colin Reid.

Also, in writing this essay I realized that this could well be the foundation of a stand alone book. There is a wealth of reporting - and it's incredibly weird.

Update added July 5th:

I have heard from two people (both with UFO experiences) who saw an owl within minutes of reading this essay. This mirrors David Weatherly's experience (noted in the essay) where he actually saw an owl while reading this essay.  To me, this is a sort of confirmation that I am onto something with this avenue of research.

At some point at the end of July (2013) this essay has become the most popular post in the four and a half year history of this blog.

Jacob and Esau, a metaphor of the hairy ape and modern human

Hairy Esau realizes he's been duped!
(art by R. Crumb)
Linked below is short excerpt from the 1994 book TAKEN by the late Dr. Karla Turner. (PDF of the entire book HERE)

This is one of the more bizarre things I’ve ever read in a book about UFO abduction (or any book for that matter). Turner was was an insightful and open-minded researcher, author and abductee; so much so that she was somewhat ignored by many within the research community.

What follows is a re-examination of the story of Jacob and Esau from the book of Genesis; this was  presented to Dr. Turner in a theatrical virtual reality dream. A set of hidden entities were trying to explain something to her. Are the twin brothers in this biblical story a metaphor that explains the alien intervention of the human species? Was the the lowly hairy caveman altered to create a smooth skinned intellectual product of genetic manipulation?

The PDF document includes illustrations from R.Crumb's Book of Genesis, the entire Jacob and Esau story linked HERE.

sychronicity and the UFO abductee

Posted below is a 17-page essay on how synchronicity seems to invade the lives of the UFO abductee. This is something that I've seen in my ongoing journey as I talk with people with direct contact experience.

This essay will soon be a chapter in The Sync Book: Volume 2. This will be published thru Sync Book Press and edited by Alan Abbadessa Greene.

Now, that said...

One of my very favorite interviews on this site was the one I did last year with Alan Abbadessa Greene  (linked HERE), our conversation this took took place right after the publication of The Sync Book. I gotta say, this is singularly the most optimistic and transcendent thing I've ever done on this site. It was a total joy, and I recommend it with a grand enthusiasm.

The Stranger Within

Barbara Eden has an unusual pregnancy

Foreshadowing, unexplainable pregnancies,
hybrid children and the creative process

In an easily down-loadable PDF (linked below), you'll find an essay that explores a haunting movie from my childhood. This was bottomless pit of synchro-weirdness and the whole thing leave me absolutely mystified. Thing were getting to the point where I needed to create a hand-lettered TIMELINE just to keep my fragile mind screwed on a little tighter.

There was a made-for-TV movies from 1974 titled The Stranger Within. It stars Barbara Eden (form I Dream Of Jeanne) in a dramatic role. She plays a suburban housewife who is mysteriously pregnant with an alien hybrid. The movie was based on a 1953 short story by Richard Matheson titled Mother by Protest. Matheson himself adapted it for the small screen. The short story is essentially the same as the movie, including some word-for-word dialog.

What is positively bizarre is that a story from 1953 could so accurately predict a long list of details that have only recently emerged in the UFO abduction meme. There are presently books filled with accounts of mysteriously pregnant woman and alien hybrid babies, but how did these ideas manifest themselves almost 60 yeas ago?

Part's of this long-winded essay were recently featured on Robbie Graham's Silver Screen Saucers site. What is linked above is longer and more exhaustive in it's attempt to unravel some elusive mysteries.

Here's a brief excerpt:
There is a central phenomenon and then there is an outlying phenomena. It seems that Budd Hopkins was trying to document and educate on the core mystery within his research, something he did beautifully. I guess I've been trying to make sense of the mess that splatters off from that core. This essay is an example, there are threads that seemingly go everywhere. I am not trying to contain any of this into something manageable like my intellect tells me to do. I am ignoring that side of my brain, and wallowing in the messiness of my intuition.
The problem is that you, the reader, might feel lost in a maze of chaos. If so, you and I share the same response.

For me, this essay was a compulsive piece of work. I really mean that, I got swallowed up in the process of digging and writing. For reasons I don't understand, I pay attention when I'm confronted with that kind of overwhelming fixation on one project.

Alien-human hybridization was predicted by Hollywood

see the second post above!

I've contributed a rather long-winded essay to Robbie Graham's Silver Screen Saucers. the post has the screaming headline of GUEST BLOGGER EXCLUSIVE all capital letters, bold red type and it's italicized!

There was a made-for-TV movies from 1974 titled The Stranger Within. It stars Barbara Eden (form I Dream Of Jeanne) in a dramatic role. She plays a suburban housewife who is mysteriously pregnant with an alien hybrid.

The movie was based on a 1953 short story by Richard Matheson titled Mother by Protest (later re-published as Trespass).

Here's a brief excerpt:
I dug into The Stranger Within for emotional and personal reasons, there was nothing at all logical in my investigation. Peering into this made-for-TV movie unleashed a flood of synchronistic weirdness. Something palpable emerged and parts of it are aligned with my direct experience. I started this exhaustive essay by saying “bits of that movie have been stuck in my head for the last 38 years.” I was describing a very real itch, and when I started scratching, something elusive showed itself.
Please note:
I now have an even longer version of this essay. It's offered as a down-loadable PDF below.

confirmation anxiety

Single frame taken from a video of a hypnotic regression
with Budd Hopkins in 2007. Note the 1234 within the time ount.

There is one story I haven't posted on this blog, until now. It deals with some personal details and to tell it correctly it needed to be a long essay. I've posted it (below) in a PDF reader. The story involves an experience Budd Hopkins calls confirmation anxiety. There may be no clear answer in this essay, but it does tell of my emotions and explorations during a confusing chapter of my life.

Now my point here is just to relate an interesting experience, nothing more.

This story involves a documentary, now on hold. I talk about this project HERE.

Waking Up Simultaneously
A note of thanks to Peter Robbins who played the role of editor on this essay.
