a vivid reassuring dream

This is one more in a series of what I am calling my reassuring dreams.

Here's what lead up to the dream. I woke up at around five in the morning on March 25th. I was wide awake, just lying there in bed and wasn't sure if I could fall back asleep. I opened my laptop which was nearby and found a podcast that I had wanted to listen to, it had been posted online just a few days earlier (Starborn Support Radio, March 23rd, 2014, highly recommended).

This is normal for me, to listen to audio from my computer at night. It was an interview with Chad and Alta Dillard, a husband and wife who have both had extensive UFO abduction experiences and all of the high strangeness that comes with those events. I've spoken at length with Alta, but that was a few years ago. I lay in bed listening.

I was soon asleep, and the interview was still playing. I started dreaming, and the voices of Chad and Alta were overlaid as a sort of soundtrack to my dream.

In the dream I was lying flat on my back on my bathroom floor, it was almost as if I was hiding there, but at the same time I felt very comfortable. I had the thought that the floor was great, and I should get a firmer mattress. I suddenly felt this full body sensation, it was a kind of shimmering vibration as if I was fading away, and I thought: "I'm going to be taken!" There was a very real knowing that this was the start of an alien abduction event. It felt as if my molecules were beginning to dissolve and this feeling was very familiar.

At first I was scared and tried to fight it, but then I changed my mind and said to myself: "Go with it! Go with it!" I am not sure what happened next, it seems like I was still lying flat on my back on the bathroom floor, but there was a palpable sense of presence as if something was nearby.

I reached up from where I was lying on the floor and started to open the bathroom door, I wanted to see if anyone (or anything) was in the house, but I hesitated in fear. Then I said to myself, "No, I need to know." and then I opened the door and looked into the kitchen, but there was nothing.

The next thing I remembered was floating around the living room, I had no control over what was happening. I was positioned as if I was lying flat like a plank, but facing down so I could look forward and at the floor. The motions were quite fast, and again, the sensation was very familiar. At first was I terrified, but then I excitedly said: "Go through the window!" I thought this because of all the UFO abduction literature I had read over the years with endless reports of people being floated through windows. At that point I quickly approached the window, but veered away, and floated up high near the ceiling and then made my way to the couch, where I was set down gently.

While writing this up I realized that this dream had a very distinct pattern. I was first feeling fear, and then quickly moving past that and becoming excited and curious. It happened three times in quick succession. All with the background of an audio interview of a husband and wife talking about their UFO abductions.

This morning I went to the bathroom and actually laid down, and I realized I was just a bit too tall to have been comfortable the way I was positioned on the floor in the dream. I could fit there, but it was slightly cramped. The rest of the dream was quite exact as far as the visuals of the inside of my home. This is unusual because my dreams tend to be distorted, but this felt like it was an exact depiction of how it really is. The view as I floated in my living room seemed perfectly accurate and everything had a clarity to it that didn't match my "normal" dreams.

This is a good example of what I’ve been calling reassuring dreams. I went through a period a few years back where I was having a bunch of them, but this was the first one in a long time. When I say reassuring, I mean the dream confronts me with some scary element within the UFO abduction phenomenon, but the way it plays out in the dream it isn’t scary at all. What I experience in the dream ends up feeling sort of normal, to the point of being almost bland.

I've created a label for these dreams, click HERE for all of them.

Here's a good example of a (funny) reassuring dream.

Here is another good example of a reassuring dream. This one seems equally as telling.

All these reassuring dreams feel like a sort of projection from outside of myself. They FEEL like an implanted dream experience that is meant to calm me down - to REASSURE me. I haven't had an experience like this in a few years. I am implying that these dreams are projected into my dreamscape from the realm of the UFO occupant. I have no other way to describe these dreams other than the way it feels.

funny... last night i had an instructional dream about breathing techniques.

I am positive it is because on the night prior to this dream the entire room started to "sparkle" and i started to hyperventilate when i realized what was being initiated. (and this was no dream) I had called it off because i was panicking and was nervous about my heart.

Anyhow, when i woke up i could still hear the breathing technique i was following in my dream for a few seconds. It wasnt my own. It felt like i had headphones in my ears and i actually reached for them as i awoke. immediately, my wife said "you were doing some weird breathing thing in your sleep last night"

There seems to be a lot of OBE-related elements in this dream, Mike. Can you tell where in your body the 'shimmering vibration' began?

Many interesting elements to this dream. The floating around your house laying flat like a plank-? I know a lot of abductees who have memories and dreams of being moved around in such a way.

Allowing curiosity to overtake fear is exactly what I've been trying to cultivate. I've done the same technique too, for when I enter a trance-vision (which I use to recover some memories). I release the fear and say, "Let it happen." And then? It does.
