Audio conversation with Susan MacLeod

21st Century Shaman

I first heard Susan's voice on a short on-line interview. She spoke about a profoundly strange Sasquatch sighting right outside her home. I was riveted by her story and I sought her out thru her website. We emailed a bunch and later we had a few long phone conversations where I got to hear a lot more of her overall story. This was well over a year ago and I have been eager to do an interview ever since we first spoke.

Susan has had an almost impossible collection of experiences including owls, bats, UFOs, non-physical entities, ghosts, shadow beings, psychic abilities, healing abilities and a Near Death Experience. Having talked to her about other stuff, there is a lot more to add to this already long list. And I feel strongly that all of these things are somehow intertwined. Oh, and add a family of five Sasquatch to that list.

For me (and hopefully you too) this was a delightful and hopeful heart-to-heart with someone who radiates something wonderful. This interview put me in a really good mood.

Susan has a website dedicated to her healing services called Healing-Quests. She also has a facebook page where she collects and shares curious experiences called Susan MacLeod Mysteries. She lives in Ontario Canada.

this tee-pee plays an important role in her Sasquatch experience.

Another good conversation Mike.

You know? For some reason I wasn't able to follow on this conversation yesterday. I kept trying and trying, but I just got too distracted to absorb any of it.

Well, I tried one more time today, and now I could follow it, and Boy I'm glad I did!

I don't really know if Susan has the abilities she claims, but at the very least one could easily perceive that, if you were sick, receiving the visit from such a light-spirited individual would help you get better nonetheless. Go out and Woo Hoo indeed! :)

And that sound she mentioned she heard that was similar to the that of a rattle snake, and I guess a bit similar to the sound Shyamalan used in Signs, reminded me a lot of the beginning of a Castañeda's book —I think it was Tales of Power— when Carlos arrives to Don Juan's shack and he hears something like the loud buzzing of a giant insect. And Don Juan said it was made by an ally nearby. Now, I know that the concept of the 'ally' in Castañeda is a bit difficult to understand, so let's just say it was an entity not of this world.

The idea of the shamanic journey beginning with a near death experience is quite interesting. I don't know if I ever mentioned this on this blog, but when I was very young I suffered a severe intoxication, because my mother had left this bottle of disinfectant (the one one would use on vegetables and produce) near my reach —what can I say, I was too tall for my own sake— and I really couldn't say if I was close to death or not, but my mom did rush me to the hospital while frantically forcing me not to fall asleep, and I was on a comma for maybe a few hours (I can't remember any of this).

So there...

Getting back to the 5 'lessons' or admonitions you had on that dream, Mike: I don't think you should worry about not remembering the last 4. I do believe they will be clarified... when the time is right :)

Mike,
I'm reading Dr.Kirby Surprise's book "Synchronicity" at the moment.and having a lot of syncs
(maybe just a mirror reflection of my thoughts.-),but this morning I was reading page 176,where he writes about taking a class in
'Native American Shamanism' and he claimed to make a tulpa,or thought-form of a grey owl that seemed to have a life of it's own.
Whilst I do not agree with all that Dr.Kirby has to say about synchronicity,I will say that he does have some important theories to contribute to the subject...not to mention some truly mind blowing syncs.
I think this man will become an important player in the sync game...but like the rest of us,he is still on the path with a fair way to go on the journey,in my opinion.
I would love to hear an audio conversation between you two.
There are plenty of audio pod-casts if you Goggle his name, just to give you a bit of a heads up of where he is coming from.

compelling interview, 2 questions, maybe i missed if these 2 points were addressed : who was susan's friend that susan's husband blamed for the shadow people invasion and what about the hat men terrorizing the native village. i enjoy your podcasts and appreciate the personal point of view that drives them.

Mike I've just read this passage in Neil Kramer's book
"The Unfoldment",and thought it might be of interest to you;

" In his 1980 book,
"The way of the Shaman",author Michael Harner tells of his exchange with a wise Conibo shaman, with whom Harner recounts his vision of mysterious creatures that he had seen descending from the sky:
I went to his hut, taking my notebook with me,and described my visions to him segment by segment. At first I told him only the highlights;thus when I came to the dragon-like creatures,I skipped their arrival from space and only said,"There were these giant black animals, something like giant bats, longer than the length of this house, who said that they were the true masters of the world."
There is no word for dragon in Conbio,so "giant bat" was the closest I could come to describe what I had seen.He stared up toward me with his sightless eyes, and said with a grin,
"Oh,they're always saying that. But they are only the Masters of Outer Darkness."
He waved his hand casually toward the sky.I felt a chill along the lower part of my spine, for I had not yet told him that I had seen them,in my trance, coming from outer space.I was stunned. What I had experienced was already familiar to this barefoot, blind shaman.Known to him from his own explorations of the same hidden world into which I had ventured. From that moment on I decided to learn everything I could about shamanism."

Shades of the Mothman,maybe?

Or the Gnostic Archons... maybe

Incidentally, I mentioned that very passage in my latest contribution for the Intrepid magazine blog:

The Teachings of Don Morpheus (part 2).

@RPJ
That looks like a good article you've written at the Intrepid magazine blog.I had a peek at the quote you did on Michael Harner, but I don't have time at the moment to read part 1&2 of your post,so I've bookmarked it and will come back and read it later.
Have you read Neil Kramer's book
"The Unfoldment"?
I'm only up to page 90 of the 250 in the book, and while it's a bit premature to say,it is one of the best books that I've read all year.

You can listen to the pod-casts he has done here -

http://neilkramer.com/

He sounds like one of The Beatles when he talks.
This guy is good.

I hope you do get the chance to read it, Darren --it would be nice to know someone did ;)

No, I'd never heard of this Neil Kramer fellow. It says in his bio that he lives in Oregon. I wonder if Regan Lee knows about him.

After writing my last comment,my wife came home from checking our PO Box with my latest NEXUS magazine, and on the front cover it has a flying dragon-like creature flying in the sky with one of the headlines being
"Did Dragons Actually Exist?"

You can check out the cover here -
