I wanna hear your synchronicities

Why are synchronicities so intertwined with the UFO phenomenon? This line of investigation is seemingly overlooked, but it has always fascinated me.

I've been mulling over an idea for an article as a way to explore the divergent questions raised by this set of experiences. When I say article, I mean something much more in depth than just a short little blog posting. I really want to explore this extremely curious aspect of the phenomenon. Please know, this is personal for me, and here are a bunch of my own stories.

Here's my question:
Why does almost every person who claims a direct contact experience also say their lives are plagued with profound synchronicities?

When I ask UFO abductees (a term I loathe) if they've experienced any synchronicities, their immediate reaction is to roll their eyes and exclaim, "Oh brother, it's over the top!"

Even UFO Researchers who've never had any kind of personal sighting will readily admit that they've experienced an excessive amount of meaningful coincidences, especially relating to certain cases.

If you have had any synchronicities that seem to be related to personal UFO experiences, I would love to hear your stories.

Just so y'know - I'm planning to create a more formalized questionnaire.

IMO the link between synchronicities and the UFO phenomenon may lie in the speculations put forth by Jacques Vallee in 'Messengers of Deception' (in the final part of the book) when he wonders if rather than living in a causative universe, with live in an associative one.

In an associative Universe, for example there doesn't need to be a Newtonian order between cause and effect limited by the arrow of Time; in a pre-Internet era, these concepts might have seemed too arcane, but now it's fairly easy to comprehend if we think of synchronicities as little HTML links embedded in the very Matrix of Reality :)

So, if we establish these parameters, what we call UFO phenomenon might be a direct result of consciously (or unconsciously) meddling with the Matrix's software, causing a certain glitch in the program. Or maybe the UFOs are engineers in charge of maintenance?

That sounds like McKenna and the Machine Elves! I don't think it has to do with meddling with the software as much as melding with it, or in other words merging...becoming conscious of etc. I don't think it is a glitch, in other words, but a flow.

Nice to see you like my shenanigans, String ;)

Glitch, flow... it might all depend whether the end result is what you expected or not :3

Hi RPJ, perhaps the way to get there in by intent not expectation? And yeah shenanigans are fine.

I've just finished reading a book called "2012- Perspectives on the Next Age",which is a book containing about 3 dozen essays where various authors tell about their vision of an ongoing transformation of human culture and consciousness beyond 2012.
One of those essays is called
"The Kubrick Gaze" by Jean-Francois Martel,and you can view that essay here;

The interesting thing though (apart from the essay)is in the biographical section about the authors,it says he had "a childhood sighting of suspicious lights in the sky,and a handful of trans-formative psychedelic experiences".
I thought he would be an interesting person for one of your
podcast conversations,if you could get hold of him.

FYI--I touch on this subject (the synchronistic aspect of anomalous experiences) in my book The Waking Dream: Unlocking the Symbolic Language of Our LIves (1996). In a nutshell: *any* highly unusual experience tends to signal a major tectonic shift taking place in the observer, psychologically; the more unusual the phenomenon (e.g., UFOs, ghosts, bizarre animals, etc.), the more dramatic that inner shift. --Ray Grasse
