audio conversation with Kim Carlsberg

During our conversation, Kim says, “When you are opened up, you are opened to everything." That simple statement says a lot.

This was decidedly NOT an interview, instead it was a perfectly enjoyable conversation, seemingly without any framework or direction. But, I feel like we covered more ideas more deeply than we ever could have in a standard interview format. Plus a curious synchro-weirdness sneaks into our conversation at the 1:11:11 time count (more below on that).

1 hour and 55 minutes of audio

Kim is the author of Beyond My Wildest Dreams, with illustrations by Darryl Anka. This book details her life experiences in a diary format with the UFO abduction phenomenon.

She is also the editor of a recent published book titled The Art of Close Encounters which features illustrations and first hand experiences by UFO contactees, along with artwork that depicts their memories.

Kim has been busy doing a lot of interviews lately, I feel like she allowed herself to dig a little deeper on this podcast. I am profoundly honored that she shared a wider breadth of her experiences with me. I’ll add that I shared a lot too.

This interview seems to focus a lot on channeling, a topic that fascinates me. I know that plenty of folks will dismiss this topic with outright contempt, but I feel that it’s important. I’ll also add that there is still that little kid in me, and if everybody says to ignore channeling, I wanna look at it even more deeply.

I will occasionally make reference to late night cable TV documentaries on the abduction experience, and how these can’t truly tell a story with any depth. Well, Kim has been a part of exactly these (somewhat cheesy) documentaries. And here’s an example, and it’s interesting. The production is sort of overly sensationalized, with the moody lighting and scary music. But the actual content of what the abductees say, and how it is explained by the narrator seems pretty even keeled. The info is quite solid; if "Joe Normal" was to watch this, he would be presented with an accurate but simplistic foundation of the abduction phenomenon.

The clip below is from some point in the early 90's. It features Kim (as always) speaking her truth to the world.

Myself and Kim at the 2011 OpenMinds conference in Arizona.

But - there is a lot more going on under the surface. Perhaps the documentary format will never be able to properly depict the complexity and depth of these experiences.

Also: There is a weird synchronicity, caught during the recoding, where we both greet our pal Phil out loud and simultaneously.

television documentary from the late 1990s

The one question that I regrettably did NOT ask was, what is David Hasselhoff REALLY like?

Ubber thespian Mr. Hasselhoff reading Budd Hopkins' MISSING TIME during a quiet moment on the set of Bay Watch. Photo by Kim Carlsberg.

There was a VERY odd coincidence during the recording involving both of us shouting "Phil?" at the pretty much the same moment. When we realize what happened, we both laugh. Our laughter happens at the 1:11:11 time count.

And more tiny oddities:
See the image below, this is a screen image with yellow highlighting added by me. This was on my screen this morning, and I realized that there were two references to 1:11:11 and each was a different context, a date and a time-count. These were just a few inches apart, and the synchro-weirdness made me take note. This is a tiny thing, but it is a clue none the less.

It's funny you mention David Hasselhoff,as he was in Australia just last fortnight;

about 60 miles away from where I live.
And also that picture of the black eyed alien,is in the latest edition of Nexus Magazine (Australia) which I happen to be a long time subscriber to.And the editor (Duncan Roads) lives about 60 miles in the other direction from me.

I'm yet to listen to the audio interview, but with those synchronicities popping up,I guess it means I should.-)

odd conclusion. about how "the causes of these experiences are not coming from alien spacecraft but here on earth"

Another great conversation Mike.
I loved the Phil Synchro in the middle of it all.
Like Kim said, you sure have found a niche with the stuff that you are doing.
And looking forward to more of it in the future.

Cheers / Daz

Kim said: "I hope one day channeling is taught in every school." And I say: yes, yes, yes it will! And a few other profound, exciting and really usefull skills.

Great food for thought, as usual.

I don't know if channeling will ever be taught on schools. As you yourselves concluded, there's all kind of channeling, and not just the one about trying to receive messages transmitted by discarnate entities orally or through automatic writing. There's also the channeling through artistic means like painting —a great example of this is Austin Osman Spare, whom Alan Moore considers the greatest British magician of all time.

I also got a kick from that unusual synchronizity with the 2 Phils —"Phil"? "Feel"?

PS: No it wasn't the Archangel Michael who visited the virgin Mary, it was Gabriel —Michael's job was to kick Lucifer's ass out of heaven ;)

Please note:

The thing that happened at the 1:11:11 time count wasn't actually my friend Phil. But, I thought it was Phil. It was my next-door neighbor Andy, and he was dropping some of ski gear that Phil used earlier in the day. I didn't know it was Andy until I left the desk and walked into the kitchen (when Kim called out "Andy?" at her end)

That said, when I heard someone in my kitchen, I thought it was Phil, but it wasn't.

I didn't want to insinuate that Phil was in my house during the skype call.

So there.

>"(when Kim called out "Andy?" at her end)"

She calls out "Phil?" at around 1:10:47

And you seem to get interrupt her at around 1:10:30 to say that someone's knocking at the door. Now the interesting thing about it, is that she was just saying "the next thing these people knew, is that these entities were aware of them."

Ooops, I made a mistake about the angel that visited Mary. Was it my own ego in proclaiming (falsely) that it was my namesake in Mary's room???

It's good to have a (lapsed?) Catholic as fact checker!

More funny syncro-grooviness!

Kim Carlsberg's birthday is Aug. 30th.

During our interview, I said I have my own "personal" channel (who I pay for sessions) - it is a woman in NYC named Anya Briggs.

Kim and Anya have a LOT in common - including AUGUST 30th as their birthday!

(list of curious stuff)
- they are both already facebook friends.
- Channeling
- UFO contactee / abductee
- Cat lovers
- You've BOTH done audio interviews on the hidden experience Blog! (and both were decidedly NOT interviews)
- Artists
- Birthday Aug 30th

- But, only one of you knows David Hasselhauf personally (but that might change someday!)

>"Was it my own ego in proclaiming (falsely) that it was my namesake in Mary's room???"

Doesn't strike me as vanity, amigo. It may be just because Michael is so popular in western culture.

Or maybe it was your favorite Ninja turtle :P

Srsly now, it's interesting how Gabriel is much more popular in the Islamic faith. The prophet Muhammad is visited by Gabriel, and once when Muhammad asked to see the "real" face of Gabriel, the angel appeared to him as a towering titan so tall that his face reached the heavens and couldn't be seen; Muhammad was so shocked and frightened he fainted.

Hmmm... at first I added this because that's just the kind of annoying smartass person I am, but now I'm reminded of your mysterious "synthetic fear" experience you had with Natasha.

PS: Lapsing Catholic it is, although it's kinda like a nose ring: you never really get rid of its mark ;)

Brizdaz (Darren) said...

It's a bit of a sync for me that you mentioned Gabriel, because today in the post arrived my Peter Gabriel CD "Hit/Miss" (CD one has his hits/Cd two has what he calls misses).
I wanted it because years ago I had a spooky sync while burying my beloved cat,and his song "Digging in the Dirt".
Full story here,if anyone's interested;

So,maybe that sync was guiding me towards paying attention to Pete's lyrics, since I was never a fan before this sync occurred. Now I think he is one of the great artists...although Springsteen still wears the crown of the Rock Gods,in my book...sorry Pete.-)

Good story! though sad.

Let me ask you this, Briz, if I may: when were you born?

This episode was exceptionally special and I felt a real sense of connection between you two. Thank you so much for sharing this!

Re RPJ's comment:
"Let me ask you this, Briz, if I may: when were you born?"

September 23rd,1964
(makes me 46 in earth years.-)

Red Pill Junkie said...

64, eh? So that makes you Mike's contemporary.

I was actually expecting you to say 1974. It turns out that I was perusing over the Mysterious Universe site, and during the podcast interview they did with Richard Dolan they mentioned the Big Flood they suffered in 1974. At that moment I immediately thought of you, mate ;)

Mike Clelland! said...

Reply to RPJ (with a J)

Richard Dolan was born in 1962, as was I, as was Stan Romenek (and a bunch more).

LOL yeah, you're all sons of the age of Sex, Love and Rock n' Roll! Did you ever ask your parents what particular song inspired your conception? I'm pretty sure that for me it was a song of either José José, or Pedro Infante :P

Re RPJ's:
"64, eh? So that makes you Mike's contemporary."

Yeah,I'm not too far behind him, age wise.I didn't listen to the podcast you mentioned, but if you mean the '74 Brisbane floods,I was about 10,and I remember them fairly well.I remember digging the mud out of my Nana's backyard and under her house, and the stink. She's passed on now,so I didn't have to do any of that this time round:-)

"Did you ever ask your parents what particular song inspired your conception?"

No.But,my Mother always said she picked my name (Darren) after the singer Bobby Darin, but I always thought that was odd since my name is spelled D*A*R*R*E*N and his surname is spelled D*A*R*I*N...oh,well.I like my name and the way it is spelled, anyway. I'm just glad she didn't like Engelbert Humperdinck instead.-)

More on the 11:11 weirdness.

My little cabin is positioned on the globe at LONGITUDE:

My latitude is 43.68

...and if you were born in 1968, you would be 43 years old. Whatever that means.
