elusive faeries

an offering to a faery

This morning Brian Short posted an essay about Faeries and the number 1234. His post is titled Faery Talk. This is well worth reading. For me, it articulated the challenges of these elusive experiences, and the difficulty of truly trusting them. I think Brian and I share something (what it is, I don't know), and it is continually forcing me to reexamine my definition of reality.

Here's a short excerpt from Brian's post:
I’d been asking the spirit to show me what she looks like. I guess asking a shape-shifter what it looks like is just walking straight into it; but since this seems a retroactive sort of joke, unhinged from any sequence of normal chronology… it just makes the joke that much more funny.
He makes a few references to my blog, especially this post: Can you find the fairy? I need to add that this essay was sort of a bottomless pit of odd coincidences, everything about it seemed to point someplace else. His post also includes Anya Briggs, and a synchronistic appearance of the number 1234, things I write about often.

Audio conversation with Susan MacLeod

21st Century Shaman

I first heard Susan's voice on a short on-line interview. She spoke about a profoundly strange Sasquatch sighting right outside her home. I was riveted by her story and I sought her out thru her website. We emailed a bunch and later we had a few long phone conversations where I got to hear a lot more of her overall story. This was well over a year ago and I have been eager to do an interview ever since we first spoke.

two hours / 13 minutes

Susan has had an almost impossible collection of experiences including owls, bats, UFOs, non-physical entities, ghosts, shadow beings, psychic abilities, healing abilities and a Near Death Experience. Having talked to her about other stuff, there is a lot more to add to this already long list. And I feel strongly that all of these things are somehow intertwined. Oh, and add a family of five Sasquatch to that list.

For me (and hopefully you too) this was a delightful and hopeful heart-to-heart with someone who radiates something wonderful. This interview put me in a really good mood.

Susan has a website dedicated to her healing services called Healing-Quests. She also has a facebook page where she collects and shares curious experiences called Susan MacLeod Mysteries. She lives in Ontario Canada.

this tee-pee plays an important role in her Sasquatch experience.

audio conversation with Mel Faregas

fellow podcaster

Me Fabregas hosts an on-line audio interview series called VERITASIn Latin Veritas means Truth. I follow this show for a number of reasons, one being that it is really nicely produced with excellent audio quality; alas, this is sadly lacking in our podcasting realm.

two hours and four minutes long

Here is an excerpt from Mel’s site where he explains a little about VERITAS and himself:
I am going to borrow this quote from Jordan Maxwell. "I am an ordinary man pursuing extraordinary knowledge." That basically sums it up. Most of my expertise is in international business and geopolitics. And I know enough from other subjects but can’t claim to be an expert. That is why I created this show: To find the experts and ask those questions that can help us get closer and closer to the truth.
Here are a few more places to hear Mel sharing his story. He posted a half-hour long recording, just his voice, on the “about” page of his site. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to hear a tidy re-telling of some of his life experiences, linked HERE.

Another good interview with Mel is on the Super Woo site, hosted by George Kavassilas, linked HERE.

we are being spied on

This is the stuff that is NOT discussed by our presidential candidates.

William Binney is a 32-year veteran of the National Security Agency. He helped design a top-secret program he says is broadly collecting Americans' personal data.

This man is considered one of the best mathematicians and code breakers in the NSA's history. Programs he created, intended for use on foreign operatives that have been turned against the people of the United States in a massive domestic spying operation, called "Stellar Wind," which is ongoing.

This is a subversion of the Constitution and of any number of laws.

excellent interview with Grant Cameron

Skeptiko is a podcast series with a focus on consciousness. Series host Alex Tsakiris interviews UFO researcher and author, Grant Cameron. During the interview Cameron explains how his research led him to uncover the connection between ESP, telepathy and the UFO phenomena.

Highly recommended.

a competent telling of contact experiences

Chris Augustin presents at a UFO conference

This one hour video is a static camera pointing at a guy at a podium, but I found it really engrossing. This is a good presentation. A lot of things on the reoccurring checklist get checked off, and lots more. Chris Augustin has a really pragmatic and centered presence, and sometimes that feels rare within this phenomenon.

I found Chris on facebook as i was looking at some photos from a recent UFO conference in Maine. I saw his face on a few photos, and I read a few complimentary comments about his approach to the subject. So, I searched out his site, and found a link to this video (posted above).

This all happened last night, and as I was watching the video I thought to myself, I need to friend this guy on facebook. Within minutes I checked my email to see that I had received a friend request from Chris himself! I feel like I can take synchronicities in stride, but this one was pretty cool.

Please know, I will be bugging him to do an audio interview.

Jason Moss shares an emotional experience

 1

Author and experiencer Jason Moss speaks about a set of events which is believed to have taken place in 1992. He describes some extremely strange and emotional experiences with a female hybrid entity that radiated a kind of intense kind of love. There is a frightening military and mind-control aspect to this story that shows up as a very real pattern in the overall phenomenon.

Jason, a self described starseed, has written a series of children's books; The Kind Fairy Adventures. He writes under the name J.P. Moss. These are a set of fantasy stories with a theme of magical adventure and the importance of love. I can't help but think his personal experiences have directly influenced his writing.

Curiously, Bashar gets mentioned in the first video, this is the entity channeled by Darryl Anka.

NOTE: As of Sept. 8th, I've just added PART FOUR in this series. I checked Jason's site on a whim, and I was the very first viewer of this most recent video.  I added PART FIVE on Sept. 12th, and PART SIX on Sept. 14th.

The Exegesis: Synchronicity, Semiotics and All-Seeing Eyes

Jack Kirby taps into some mythic weirdness

This morning, Christopher Knowles posted a really beautiful essay on his blog THE SECRET SUN. Here's what he says:
Synchronicity is a wonderful and powerful thing. If you work with it, it works with you.

Working with Synchronicity requires a high degree of rigor and discernment, of separating the big fish from the guppies. But eventually you will reach a genuine shift in consciousness – you will realize that mind is not brain, as Jeff Kripal says, and that there are forces at work that utterly mock our reductionist models of consensus reality.

The most powerful synchronicities in my life are mine alone. Explaining them is usually difficult, often impossible. It took me a long time to separate signal from noise, genuine sync from simple coincidence (which is often fun, but not nearly as utilitarian). So I don't bother trying to explain them to the uninitiated. And I really recommend that you do the same. Rigorous analysis gives you all the confidence you need; you don't have to seek validation from other sources.

I did it

I just added a donate button. It's just to the right in the side-bar.

This was something I wish I didn't need to do. But, I spend a lot of time on this site, and it has really impacted my other work (that means my paying work). I care deeply about this blog and the content I share. It is a labor of love.

The system is set up for anonymous donations. I have chosen to use a very simple site called WePay and avoid the excessive complications involved with PayPal.

Just so you know, I am not sure this is the right thing for me to do, it weighs a little heavy on me. I may take the button down if it feels like it isn't in line with what my heart says is okay.

And - I promise that I'll NEVER put advertisements on this site.

Peace,
Mike C

what posts do you find interesting?

great gray owl in full camo

I've just spent some time looking back through this blog. I poked around my own site in a completely haphazard way, and I gotta say that I'm impressed with some of what re-read. There is some good stuff buried in here. Yes, there is a lot of self-indulgent navel gazing too. But, the reason I started this blog was to explore my own veiled events and memories (well, hidden experiences) in a public forum.

Now I'm want to ask you to chime in and tell me what you think are posts worth re-reading. This blog has been around for over three and a half years. I write for myself, but I wonder what the readers think. I'm genuinely curious. My question to you readers:

What posts on this blog
do YOU find interesting?
please post 'em in the comments below

I'll start with a few that resonate strongly with me:
1. This blew my mind on so many levels. It describes what is probably the single most important experience of my life. It involves a simple facebook message at a pivotal moment in my time here on earth. I am told to be brave.
2. This is a follow-up to the post above, a book-end of sorts. Another facebook message impacts my life. The universe answers my plea.
3. An essay about the balancing act between my head and my heart. This was written in early days of November 2009, right after reality shattering events October of that same crazy year.
4. Mac Tonnies was a pal of mine. In this long essay I try to describe how he impacted my life. It is a rambling bunch of self examination about the loss of my friend. I wrote it in a sort of flurry, it is a string of details I needed to get written down.
As I look at these four essays, I am struck that they were all written in real time, in the moment. You don't need to read between the lines to see that these experiences have been emotionally challenging. And it's no surprise that they were all written in 2009.
