men in black caught on a security camera?

NOTE added April 25th:
Presently there is a lot of on-line buzz that this is a hoax. But the sources and chatter leave my head spinning and I'm left more confused than convinced. I actually don't have the patience to follow it. Here's a link: ABOVE TOP SECRET forums.

men in black?

Curious video from a security camera in a hotel lobby. I can't vouch for it's authenticity, but it's certainly intriguing.

Here is a written REPORT on this incident. Very formal and well worth reviewing.

Here's something for you English majors, check out the use of the quotation "marks" on the home-page to The Aerial Phenomenon Investigation Team on their web-site.
The Aerial Phenomenon Investigation Team is a group of “professional investigators, intelligence analysts, and scientists” dedicated to conducting investigative research and analysis regarding unidentified flying objects (UFO) and other aerial phenomenon.
Hmmmm, this makes me wonder.

I always think of the sign I saw on the streets of New York that said: "FRESH" FISH. Uh-oh, does this imply something worrisome?

Quebec UFO encounter

Photo/illustration copyright by Jean Lavergne

There is an extremely compelling UFO experience unfolding near Quebec. The story involves a sighting in the yard of a rural couple. The treads of this encounter are all intertwined with synchronicities, multiple witnesses, odd health issues, psychics, premonitions and deeply felt emotions.

This story unfolds with elements that go way beyond merely seeing odd lights in the nighttime sky. We are confronted with details and emotions that tell of something much stranger and more challenging than we dare believe.

I found this story on Synchrosecrets, a site hosted by the husband and wife couple, Trish and Rob MacGregor. This unsettling set of events was shared in a series of nine essays each posted separately in the spring of 2012.

Linked below is a 29 page report about this unsettling encounter.

THE SECRET SUN audio podcast features me in conversation with Chris Knowles

Christopher Knowles from THE SECRET SUN has an audio interview with me on his podcast series. We speak for over an hour, and the conversation digs into my first hand experiences and the overlapping phenomena that seems intertwined. I've been interviewed before, and this was a really a really good session.

...or you can...

Chris is a deep thinker who is wrestling with the big questions, and he forces me to dig deeper than anyone else. I always get a lot from talking with this guy, and I'm sure you'll feel the same. I am challenged by the implications of my experiences, it just plain freaks me out. But, Chris is capable of tying in an overriding visionary aspect to this mystery. It really helps me when he forces me to re-frame this quandary from this higher reference point. I'm better able to grapple with my own deep questions with Christopher's insights.

We talk about a series of curious life events, including:

I speak about a lot of stuff that I've shared in this blog, each of these essays have photos and illustrations that might help the listener. And each of these posts are loaded with links to other equally relevant stories and images.

coincidence?

Yesterday I spoke to a UFO researcher that I have been trying to connect with for over a year, no need to name this person here. I did some digging and I final found his contact information, then I just called him up on the phone. We spoke for well over an hour, and lots of our discussion had to do with murky secret stuff that the government might be involved with, we were speculating about some creepy conspiratorial stuff. After we hung up, I tried to send him an email, but my Mac mail program didn't work.

Here's what I did for well over an hour this morning. I spent al that time on the apple-care service-line following instructions from one of their (very patient) phone technicians. We were trying to figure out why my mail program wasn't working. It seems my password was no longer effective, and I needed to reconfigure several mail related programs with a new password. What a freakin' drag!

I talk about creepy secret stuff and my email program crashes.

Coincidence?

first-person bloggers share their abduction experiences

There is something happening, there are a LOT of people who claim the abduction phenomenon, or UFO contact, who are sharing their first person experiences in an on-line blog, or on a youtube page.

This is fascinating to me, and I see it as a big shift. A decade ago, an abductee with a story to tell would have needed to publish a book. And that would mean time and money - an editor and a publisher. It might take several years to write it and eventually get it on a shelf. And if it doesn't end up in a book store near me, I might never hear of it, let alone read it.

present day experiential blogging

I have read posts where people will tell of abduction experiences THE NIGHT BEFORE! Do you realize how extraordinary that is? Technology has streamlined this kind of communication and it has the potential to revise our collective understanding of these elusive experiences. The list below is in alphabetical order.

Some of these sites will focus exclusivly on documenting their personal experiences, and other’s will just occasionally add a story that indicates some sort of strange contact events. Others will just have a lone link where they share of curious UFO sightings. 47 such sites are listed below.

Over the last few years, I've been amazed at these on-line blogs and web-sites, and I've tried to document them. If anyone out there can direct me to more of them, please let me know! They are all listed with the label fellow bloggersI've also included a link to anyone I've interviewed on this list.

Here's another similar LINK.

reassuring dreams, two nights in a row

For a while I was keeping a sort of diary of my experiences, I would just sort of dump them into a document on my computer. This document is now 111 pages long. I haven’t added anything in a long time, but I remembered about two dreams that seemed curious, and I searched them out. Here’s what I wrote:
_____________________________________________________

June 5th 2008
I am in Alaska working for an outdoor school. I just got done teaching a mountaineering course, and now I am at the base camp, a lovely farm north of Anchorage. I sleep in a little wall tent off in the woods near the farm. There is no nighttime, it's always daylight this time of year.
I have had two weirdly vivid dreams, two nights in a row.
The first was a full-blow abduction dream. Interior of an alien craft, a cold table, telepathy, weird alien hybrids (they looked like tiny shrunken old men) and people (yup, normal people) on the craft too.
The exact details are extremely foggy, but the overwhelming impression was a sort of relief. There was NOTHING scary about this dream. The alien hybrids were small and nonthreatening. The people on-board seemed to have a purpose and a job, and it was somehow for the collective good.
And the little aliens seemed so normal, I wasn't intimidated in the least. I literally thought to myself, "This is them? Why am I afraid of these dinky little things?"
And, the most vivid memory from this dream was the telepathy and how it sounded in my own head. It was EXTREMELY clear and free of any "static." I was impressed, I thought: "Wow, this is working super well, there's no need to worry about communicating, because it's SO clear."
The next morning I tried hard to remember what was told to me during the finely tuned telepathy, but I couldn't remember.
Now, lemme say, this was a dream. Not some foggy memory of anything real. But I woke up feeling relived and at peace. There was something deeply reassuring about this dream, I was confronted with something that should have been scary, but it wasn’t, instead it just felt so normal.
And then the following nights dream:
This was filled with very moody and frightening images. Huge air-force jets chasing things in the sky, and people on the ground (myself included) watching helplessly. Eventually there was a terrifying nuclear explosion on the distant horizon, then bunches of them. I took shelter in a sort of children's puppet theater. And there was a reoccurring image of a boy "emerging" from a stage prop over and over.
How do I interpreter this? The overtly theatrical ending, literally on a stage makes me wonder. And the weird repeating emergence of a little boy out of an obvious stage prop. It was a sort of jack-in-the-box thing, and the claustrophobic little stage reminded me of that theater in Disneyland with the mechanical Lincoln.
Anyway - both dreams were JUST dreams, and they were extremely vivid, colorful, cinematic and weirdly 3D.
This weird imagery in both of these dreams is probably nothing - I want to convince myself of this - these are JUST dreams. It's probably nothing but my poor tortured psyche dealing with the 24 hour sunlight. But it feels weirder than that.
_____________________________________________________

These are what I’ve been calling reassuring dreams, and I went through a period where I was having a bunch of them. And by reassuring, I mean the dream has a scary element of the UFO abduction phenomenon, but it isn’t scary at all. What I experience in the dream is sort of bland and normal. I've created a label for these dreams, click HERE for all of them.

Here's a good example of a (funny) reassuring dream.

There is a follow-up post below, another reassuring dream report, and this one seems even stranger.

All these reassuring dreams feel like a sort of projection from outside of myself. They FEEL like an implanted dream experience that is meant to calm me down - to REASSURE me. I haven't had an experience like this in a few years, these dreams all seemed to cluster around that summer. I think I know what I am implying. I have no other way to describe these dreams other than the way it feels.

The excerpt above has been edited slightly from the form I found it in the diary. I cleaned up some grammatical stuff and added a few extra sentences for clarity.

a forgotten reassuring dream

In the summer of 2008 Dr. Leo Sprinkle called me and said I should contact a woman who lived near me, he said she had some interesting experiences. The next call I made was to this woman, who I’ll call Tracy (a pseudonym). After hearing some of her story we both decided that I should drive to her home so I could play the role of investigator and sketch artist. She and her husband lived over three hours dive from my home, so she invited me to spend the night in their guest cabin.

When I got to her house we spent the afternoon talking about her experiences. She had a fascinating set of vivid sightings and events that seemed to indicate a lifetime of contact with the UFO phenomenon.

I took notes and I did a sketch of a craft with her guidance. I'll often admit that I am a crummy investigator, because all I ever seem to do is have a heart to heart conversation with a witness. I am NOT objective in the slightest, I get all emotionally wrapped up in their stories. I liked Tracy, and I thought she had a great outlook. I never did anything with the sketches or my notes.

Here's where it gets strange, I found something in my dairy. I do NOT remember ever writing this. I found it when I was digging through some old notes for the post above about two dreams in Alaska. This is another reassuring dream. I think I typed this into my lap-top computer the morning I woke up in Tracy's guest cabin.

July 14th 2008
I had a dream last night at Tracy’s house.
I remember I had a clear vision of several gray aliens. I was NOT subjected to any kind of fear. I was instead coming to terms with a sort of “normal” feeling, like they weren't so bad. Seeing them wasn’t out of the ordinary. It left me with the distinct impression that this was extremely calming, and in a way, reassuring
I do NOT think there was any kind of abduction experience. Just a dream. But it fits the pattern of the two dreams in Alaska. Extremely vivid, and strangely orchestrated to be reassuring.

wisdom from owls

Great Gray Owl in full camo.

This post was taken from a comment from one of my readers (Brizdaz). He is reading a book, The Healing Wisdom of Birds by Lesley Morrison. This is a book about all kinds of birds, but the author confesses that owls are her favorite.
_____________________________________________________

(from the forward)

When I undertook this project, many people asked me why I felt compelled to write a whole book about birds. My answer? I was haunted day and night, until I did. The universe has a funny way of making its advice known, and after challenging encounters and rescues with feathered creatures I finally got the message. I became alerted to the silent mission before me, and was compelled by an unyielding insistence to pay closer attention to birds and their world. So I remained haunted until the final manuscript was complete.

(an excerpt about owls)

The owl will always be the dearest bird species to me, and I have had many sad and spiritual encounters with this magnificent bird of prey. The owl has traditionally been very close to the spirit worlds, and associations between the owl, death, and magic are quite prominent and widespread.

If owl chooses you as a student, you are to become aware of all that moves in the dark. These could be hidden motives, thoughts, or emotions within you or others that have been kept from the light of awareness. Or there may be a hidden gift of clairvoyance and magic that needs nurturing when owl appears. Owl is the guardian spirit of many magicians and shamans, and often portends a time of deep learning or training in the ways of magical sight and manifestation.

Owl people can pierce the normal boundaries of space and time, and are quite adept at traveling back and forth between worlds. Having the owl as a totem is not always an easy experience. In fact, I consider owl's medicine to be among the most challenging. Owl people are usually solitary and must sometimes take hits from those without a firm spiritual understanding.

Owl spirit guides will often visit their human companions in the dream-time. This is where the owl imparts wisdom through dream symbolism and imagery. The owl person must learn about archetypes -  universal symbolic images - in order to decipher owl's hidden messages. Symbolism is the crux of magic, and must be studied carefully by the owl person.

Owl people are often troubled by an innate wisdom of the universe that finds no expression or validation in the affairs of humans. They disdain many social structures,  and find it difficult to maintain close relationships with people in general. Many people aligned with owl find that retreat from the disenchanted world is the greatest path to understanding, and owl will often guide those with it's medicine away from their normal preoccupation with everyday activities by instilling a sense of disappointment in the owl soul person.

This sense of discontent eventually leads the owl person into deep exploration of the hidden worlds. The spirit of owl seems to haunt their very souls, as if a constant reminder of the illusory nature of life on earth.

Colin Andrews, Dr. Steven Greer and a mosquito

Colin Andrews in his element

While at the recent Open Minds UFO conference in Arizona, I was delighted to spend some time with Colin Andrews. He is a crop circle researcher who I respect enormously. I had exchanged a few emails with him in the previous weeks asking if he would be open to doing an audio interview. He said yes, but his schedule was too full to find a date, but we both agreed it will happen at some point in the near future.

At the conference I asked Colin if we could talk, he heartily agreed and we went outside and sat in a small garden area on a bench. I shared a set of experiences of my own while Colin ate his lunch. There were parts of my experience that seemed to resonate strongly with him, and he was a wonderful listener.

As I neared the end of my story, I saw a glimpse of a tiny bug near my mouth, and then I felt it tickling the back of my throat. I turned and coughed towards the tall plants near the bench.

Colin laughed, and in his beautiful English accent he said, "I saw that little fellow go in, it was a mosquito." The tiny tickle remained, but I finished my story as Colin finished his lunch.

Suddenly, Colin looked past me and said, "Well Hello Steven!"

Dr. Steven Greer

I turned and looked behind me and saw Dr. Steven Greer approach us, and we both stood up. Dr. Greer had a body guard along side him, decked out in dark sunglasses and a black military looking flack jacket. Dr. Greer and Colin knew each other from a previous set of conferences where they were speakers; they both smiled and shook hands.

Colin said, "Steven, I want you to meet Mike here, we've just been sharing some interesting stories."

I shook his hand and he said, "Hello, I'm Steven Greer."

I replied with a raspy voice, "Yes, I know who you are." At that point I felt that tiny mosquito in my throat position itself so I was absolutely incapable of speech. I was suddenly struck mute. So, all I could do is stand there in silence as Colin and Dr. Greer exchanged some pleasant small talk.

Now, let me add here that Dr. Greer is on of the very few people in this small pool of researchers that I find extremely challenging. He says things that I find very difficult to believe, and he will make conclusions that I simply find impossible to accept. I worry that his presence is having a negative impact on the direction of the UFO community, such as it is.

But, during the 5 minutes or so that I stood with him in that garden all I could do was listen. The chit-chat between him and Colin was entirely commonplace, and they both seemed genuinely happy to see each other.

Then Dr. Greer said, "Well, I should check into the hotel room." They said their good-byes, and I smiled politely and he and his bodyguard walked away.

As he left, I turned and faced the bushes and coughed. I saw a tiny speck shoot out, and I instantly knew I had liberated that mosquito from my throat. At that point my voice returned.

So, I had met a nemesis of sorts, and the universe had coerced me into silence.

Let me also add that in 2011 both Dr. Greer and Colin had been at a conference together and both of them, for the first time publicly, stood on a stage and shared their own UFO contact experiences. The term abduction might be used here interchangeably. Colin and I spoke about what it meant to speak one's truth, and what it might imply all of humanity. I found this both fascinating and emotional.

Whitley Strieber talks with Randy Maugans

Whitley Strieber gets interviewed by Randy Maugans for a full hour on Off-Planet Radio.

This conversation reframes the entire spectrum of the paranormal. Whitley, as always, is profoundly eloquent as he addresses the big-picture from a deep personal persepctive. Humanity is being stretched, pushed, and pulled to evolve beyond our present concepts, outside of our traditional models, and forward towards something that he defines as divine.
