audio interviews with Mac Tonnies

This is a clip of the late Mac Tonnies, where he sums it all up in a mere 33 seconds.

There is a remarkable selection of on-line podcasts featuring my friend Mac. The young author Mac Tonnies had quite a web presence, that and a beautiful voice. I did some searching, and here are a list of 13 different audio interviews available on-line. If anyone knows of more, please let me know and I'll add them here.

I rated these with *stars*, a simple 1 thru 5 system. Don't read too much into these numbers, all are essential listening.

PS: LOL I'd never realized until now, re-listening to Mac's interview on C2C, that he mentioned YOU (1:29:56)

Well, he didn't actually say your name, but seeing how you are such an "outdoorsman guy who sees a lot of owls", kind of an easy thing to spot ;)

As far as Mac Tonnies on C2C (and you not knowing about it) read this post here. There is some weirdness surrounding that comment, and my trying to get some answers. Mac responded from the great beyond, thanks to Anya Briggs.

This was posted on The Daily Grail. And becaues of that, it is the 9th most popular post ever on my site.

9th eh? 3+3+3 ;)

It was also interesting because the guy started talking about seeing cats in his bedroom, that his dad would try to scare off or something. From cats we went to owls in a very Tonniesan way ;)

I have worked my way through most of them now. They are a real treasure trove and even though I never knew Mac I feel a real sadness that we wont be hearing more from him. He had a great mind and was an excellent speaker. We also shared a lot of common interests.

One thing that struck me whilst listening to the interviews was that the most successful film franchise in history and the highest selling children's books of all time are about a group of individuals who could be described as Cryptoterrestrials and who refer to us as muggles.

Hi, Radio Misterioso had a memorial show in 2009 too:

I didn't include the memorial in this list because Mac wasn't on the show.

There were a few of the memorial shows out there (like the Paracast)

Wondering if anybody knows if the first caller from LA on the c2c interview was Greg Bishop it sounded just like him?

That was - without a doubt - Greg Bishop!
