an owl dream with Robert Moss

author and dream teacher Robert Moss

I get a lot of emails about owl experiences. A woman recently sent me a message where she described a dream—and it's wonderful.
A big owl flies towards her and plops face first into the snow, and the next thing that happens is Robert Moss runs into the scene. He points to the owl and shouts, "It's an owl! It's an owl! It's an owl!"
The email then explained that Robert Moss is an author who writes about dreams and they role in living a deeper life. So a guy who analyzes dream imagery shows up in a dream; he's shouting and pointing to a symbolic owl! (I love this stuff!)

I had never heard of him so I did some quick on-line searching. I found this tidy video (above) that seems to give a good overview of his ideas on dreaming.

I also googled Robert Moss and UFOs, and my own site came up! It was a post from 2014 where a real owl wakes me from a nightmare. More than one of the comments on that post offer up info on Robert Moss. I read these at the time, but I didn't remember the reference to Moss. I have amazing readers and their insights were wonderful.
When strangers ask me what I do, I often respond, "I am a storyteller and I help people to find and live their bigger and braver stories..."
—Robert Moss
I've watched a few videos, and read some things from his website, and I sure like the guy and his message. Here's a good podcast where Whitley Strieber talks dreams with Robert.

two books with owl eyes

screen grab from the Amazon page
The amazon page for The Messengers show what books are being bought together through their site. I have been humbled to see that The Super Natural has been side by side with my book since its debut back in February. This book was written by Whitley Strieber and Jeffery Kripal, two people I respect enormously.

More info on The Super Natural HERE

Curiously, both books feature vivid golden owl eyes. Well, there is just one eye on The Super Natural.

required reading
I have had the honor of interviewing both these important authors. Each of these men wrestle with ideas that are barely touched upon within the small pool of UFO researchers. Both conversations are posted below.

Jim Harold talks about owls

graphcis from Jim Harold's site
Jim Harold and I spoke about owls for about 40 minutes, and this conversation is posted on his subscription site. But, I have permission to link it here on my site, so you can hear it for free. Jim hadn't read my book, so I needed to try to convey the complex ideas within those pages in a short amount of time. By the end, I sense he was impressed at what I had worked to explain.

  audio podcast linked HERE

These are challenging ideas, and it's been hard to sum up a nearly 400 page book without a lot of time. This went really well—recommended listening.

still selling well after over half a year

Screen image form the Amazon site
The Messengers has been on sale since December 3rd of 2015, so it's been available for seven months. I need to admit that I check the amazon sales ranking for this book more than I should, it's become a bit obsessive. As of today it was ranked number three in the amazon rankings for kindle UFO books. This is astounding to me. I had no expectations that it would be this popular. Now I fully realize that this is a tiny category and the actual number of books sold is still pretty modest compared to what Steven King might be used to getting, but gee-whiz!

The other two books ahead of this in sales are both discounted prices. Ingo Swann's book was first published in 1998 (with 123 reviews?). Curiously, the books that are usually seen in the top slots are Behold a Pale Horse by William Cooper and Chariots of the Gods by Erich von Däniken.

I've been truly gratified at the sales, as well as the supportive comments and emails I've been receiving. A huge thank you to anyone who has made the effort to dig into this big fat book!

New info added 5:20 PM same day:

Just checked and the owl book is now number TWO on amazon in the UFO category, again behind Ingo Swann's book...

talking about owls on Open Minds Radio

Alejandro Rojas had me as his guest on OPEN MINDS RADIO. We spoke together about my recent book. That interview is lined HERE, and also in the player below.

Here is our conversation from back in 2012. You can hear it in my voice that I was a lot more shaky about all this in that conversation. Linked HERE.
