I am deeply impressed with Dr. Mack's ability to grapple with this elusive experience. I'm glad he was such a vocal spokesman for his own research. We are all fortunate that he was so open to allowing these filmmakers access to himself and his patients.
I found the painting in Bud Hopkins stairwell at the 6:54 mark intriguing. It looks to me like a picture of an owl (or some type of bird like that) sitting on what to me anyway, looks like a CK

joined together. In the crook of the K is a human eye.
Just thought it was an odd coincidence considering Chris's own admitted obsession with owls in some of his posts.
I spent a little time in Budd's home, and he has a photo of barn owls in his kitchen.

That was a great doco.
ReplyDeleteI've got to get a copy of that on DVD.
I noticed down in the right-hand corner of the screen was the ABC logo
(that's the Australian Broadcasting Commission, not the American ABC,by the way)
so it must have been screened here on Australian TV screens at some point.
Thanks for bringing it to my attention Mike.
Cheers.
Ok, 2012 resolution for the UFO bloggosphere: we HAVE GOT to come up with a better term for the people who have these experiences.
ReplyDeleteAbductee is a charged term; experiencer waaaay too generic & ambiguous.
It's gotta be something short & snappy, that conveys the weirdness of meeting face-to-face a non-human intelligence.
Come on! we can do better :)
I think that you and I need to have a conversation about JM soon.
ReplyDeletebest,
