The Aquarius Casino on the dreary strip in Laughlin Nevada
Here's one more weird story; in the middle of the night we were both jolted awake by a very loud pounding on the door. The way I remember it, it sounded like a big strong guy hit the door twice, as hard as he could. I was instantly awake and my heart was pounding.
My instantaneous thought was: IT'S THEM!
I rolled over and looked at the clock, and it was 1:23 AM. Let me add that I before rolling over that I knew what time it would be. I never got up to answer the door, I felt like I knew there was nobody there. I’ll also add that this hotel wasn’t filled with rowdy kids, in fact, we were in a section that didn’t allow children at all. And the clientele in Laughlin is mostly senior citizens. No good explanation about why anyone would pound on our door like that.
Okay, now let’s jump to the next morning.
I was in line at the Starbucks in the lobby, and right in front of me was Paola Harris, she saw me and said, “This is so weird, but Natascha was in my hotel room last night.”
I didn’t know what she meant, and I asked her to tell me more.
She explained that she was woken out of a sound sleep (she didn’t say what time) and she heard someone with a German accent say: “Paola!” Right away, she knew it was Natascha, who she had met previously in Barcelona. We both knew full well that Natascha wasn’t in her room, but it was an odd way to start the day.
Also, I heard from a few other people at the conference had subtle (but odd) experiences that same night.

Look at the time you posted - 10:33 - you missed the 123 by a mere second! Intriguing story, Mike.
ReplyDeleteTruly weird.
ReplyDeleteSo at Interstate 40 you found 4 cats. Mmmm....
ReplyDeleteExit 124, and then 4 cats. Thus, 123 - 4 (?)
ReplyDeleteI've been noticing 123 a lot lately, too. That and 42 and 24. Perhaps this series of numbers may signify that we're "leading up to something."
ReplyDeleteAs for the knock on your door, and you waking up with your heart pounding...hmmm. Since we are both "experiencers," I would say it's pertinent that I used to be awakened by phantom phone rings, phantom doorbells, phanotom knocks on the door, etc., quite frequently. If you Google
"phantom" whatever (e.g., doorbells, telephone ringing) you'll find it's actually a pretty widespread phenomenon.
When it happened to me, I always felt absolutely 100% certain that it was real - and yes, I would wake up with my heart pounding out of my chest.
Once about a year ago I was awakened by my doorbell, and it was around 1.30 or 2 as I recall (maybe it was 1.23?). My first thought was that I was being harrassed by some undercover black ops (I've had enough of that happen in the past that though it may sound paranoid to some, it's a possibility), and that there was a heat monitor that could identify my position in the house once I sat up in bed after hearing the ringing. I peeked out the window next to my bed, which looked out to the porch, and didn't see anyone running off, so then I began to wonder if it was an auditory hallucination.
It took me awhile to relax enough to consider going back to sleep. After about 10 minutes of lying in bed as my heart rate slowly returned to normal, I heard a car door shut nearby. I jumped out of bed and peeked through the slats of the blind on my front door window, in time to see a very compact and low-set white van drive past my house.
Yes, it may have been unrelated and mundane, but I have reason to believe it was not. For one thing, I was living on a very quiet street in a very quiet neighbourhood. For another thing, it was a weeknight, and I'd rarely hear traffic at all. And for another, I'd been harrassed by a mysterious man in a small white van before, back in about 1996 when I was first getting involved in my crop circle research.
Anyway, my point here is that maybe you heard someone pound on your door, or maybe you were awakened by a phantom door knock - and what that may mean is equally interesting to me. Were you awakened so that your brainwaves could be monitored? Yes, perhaps grasping at straws (I tossed Occam's razor out a long, long time ago) but it is worth considering...
I wonder why Paola thought Natascha was in her room? Could she have dreamt about her?
ReplyDeleteThe cats in the car.....whoa! For a moment I thought it was going to be like those odd looking cats that Whitley Streiber wrote about - that passed him, in a car, on the road.
Wow! Just wow! I've been studying numerology so I find this post facsinating.
