I don't know if the producers were aware of it, but that's exactly what a shaman does when curing an illness: 'transfering' the disease or ailment from the sick patient to his or her own body. That's what Rasputin allegedly did when he cured the youngest son of Tzar Nicholas II of leukemia.

PS: Thanks for that link to Gurrumul's song, mate :)Red Pill Junkiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14738203580562140501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7455216065351371692.post-64382625000526319652011-12-30T18:38:35.500-08:002011-12-30T18:38:35.500-08:00@RPJ:

Every little detail, like Paul's addiction to cigarettes, makes me wonder whether the producers are hardcore UFO fans, or it was just a wonderful 'coincidence' ;)Red Pill Junkiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14738203580562140501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7455216065351371692.post-74189668908340852012011-12-26T17:58:33.984-08:002011-12-26T17:58:33.984-08:00Also,I was at Whitley Strieber's blog and read...Also,I was at Whitley Strieber's blog and read this post;
Christmas 2011

http://www.unknowncountry.com/journal/christmas-2011

Where he writes,"I sit listening to Rachmaninoff's Vocalise sung by Anna Moffo, which I would listen to on nights when I felt that the visitors were coming. They would cast such a spell over me on those nights, with their strangeness and their longing. They seemed far from home, but not physically; rather, from a home that is deep in the heart. They were seekers, looking for something they had lost, which was why, after my initial disquiet, I felt such a closeness to them."

This is a very beautiful piece of music.I love it,but I have never heard it before.

You'll have to have a listen to this music and let us know what you think about it,Mike.

Cheers.Brizdaz (Darren)https://www.blogger.com/profile/16218154629850982033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7455216065351371692.post-46210472172495733882011-12-26T17:02:29.352-08:002011-12-26T17:02:29.352-08:00Re:

It's an intriguing feedback loop of sorts.Tristan Eldritchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10239386613395519115noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7455216065351371692.post-57116249593796848392011-12-26T08:47:51.838-08:002011-12-26T08:47:51.838-08:00I just added another LABEL to this on-going blog.
