Elaine Douglass died yesterday. It is with a heavy heart that I share this sad news.

I first heard of Elaine in 2008 on an audio interview with Karyn Dolan. After hearing her talk, I simply looked up her number and called her. Later, while driving through Moab Utah, where she was living, I made it a point to visit her home. 

On our very first meeting she asked for my help in planting a tree in her yard. I also met, and played with, her new kitten, Pip. When we went into her house, she revealed that she had made me a cake (a lemon cake). This, at a time when I was terribly distressed at what might have been my own involvement with the phenomenon.

I met with her a few more times at her home in Utah, and we spoke on the phone often. Elaine was a very strong personality, and that’s a understatement. I can see how she could rub some folks the wrong way, especially the higher ups at MUFON. I liked her enormously. I am drawn to very intense people.

I posted an audio interview with Elaine (where she calls me Honey) back in October of 2013, just a little over three months ago. There was a side of me that was a it hesitant to do that interview, because her outlook on these subjects was so dark. There is a curious pressure within this UFO sandbox to share only the love & light vibe. Elaine was in top form during that talk, and I feel very strongly that her ideas need to be a part of the overall UFO debate.

Elaine and I spent a lot of hours on the phone, late at night, wrestling with the questions and challenges that emerged from her ongoing research. She was also extremely supportive when I shared my experiences. I loved that she spoke to me straight and bluntly. I will forever cherish her passionate forthright ways. I gained something enormously vital from her friendship.

Investigating abduction cases in your state:

Just use common sense

Recently a Mufon state director told me: “We haven’t had an abduction case in our state since the year one. I am not interested in abduction cases. My investigators are not interested in abduction cases. I think you have to be a trained psychologist to look into these cases.” Next, the state director was kind enough to tell me of his own experiences with grey aliens in his childhood. After that he said, “I’m mainly interested in disclosure through which I hope all the mysteries will be explained.”

He justified his position, but it is not mine. I want to find out what the aliens are doing, here and now, and the best way to get information on that is the abductions. And you don’t need to be a trained psychologist to look into abduction cases. All you need is common sense.

Sighting witnesses may be abductees

Here in Utah, where I am state director, I find the majority of sighting witnesses are abductees or probables. This is extremely significant and if true nationwide it is an insight that should inform us throughout the ranks of Mufon. In Utah, I’d say at least 50% of sighting witnesses are abductees. How do I find this out? By asking the simple question: “So, what else, in your whole life, has ever happened to you that you cannot explain?” Frequently when I ask this question of sighting witnesses, a big story comes out.

job interview at the CIA conducted by an alien

During the audio conversation with Elaine Douglass, we spoke at length about one very interesting case. It told the story of a young man going to the CIA for a job interview, he claims he was given a lie detector test by an alien. The article was initially published in two parts in Journal of Abduction Research (JAR) magazine, in 2007 and 2008. The PDF below has both parts combined for easy reading.

A lot of listeners were eager to read this two-part article, they said as much in the comments below the interview posting. This essay was also featured in a segment of Mysterious Universe around Halloween 2013.

Brad Steiger is one of the hard working giants in this field. I was delighted and honored to spend an hour in conversation listening to his deep, hypnotic voice. He shares many of his owl personal experiences, and he comes across as less an author and more of a mystic.

There is another excellent interview with Brad from 2011. These two interviews will play well side-by-side, creating (in a sort) a full two-hour interview. The order doesn't matter, and none of the information overlaps. Each of these audio interviews are just a little over one-hour long.

Brad and his wife, Sherry Hansen Steiger, just published a new book titled Real Encounters, Different Dimensions and Otherworldly Beings, this is a perfect companion to their 2011 book Real Aliens, Space Beings and Creatures form Other Worlds.

Taken from first-person accounts and historical documents, this 2013 book chronicles a huge number of examples of alien encounters, ghost enconters, near death experiences and these mystical events influence human events.

those are airplanes, not UFOs

Despite the dramatic music, those are airplanes

Jeeesh, I'm sort of annoyed that people will post videos claiming that "Strange Visitors Make An Appearance" when what they are showing is obviously a bunch of airplanes. I found this HERE at Before-It's-News.

There is set of apartments in the foreground of the video frame with "Pacific Point" clearly seen in big letters on the side of the building. Easily googled, here's the address.

Go to google maps, and there is an airport right where I knew it would be. The runway lines up with the air traffic seen as long streaks of light.

These nighttime images are long exposures. The images in the sky are clearly airplane lights that create a long glowing line due to the long exposure. They trace back to the airport. Anyone who has played with long exposures at night will have captured exactly these kinds of streaks of light from cars, planes and people with flashlights.

The tiny dots above some of the long streak of light seem to be the blinking running lights on a plane. The lights on the beach are cars in motion, where their headlights create the long streak of light.

This bit of internet detective work took me about one minute!
